| About: | This is a neutral, open forum for people to come and debate sundry topics pertaining to our culture's standards of beauty and beauty practices therein. Are you sick and tired of the impossible beauty standards perpetuated by the media and seek to change the status quo? Or are you the type to think that any problems someone has with the media's standards are the individual's own problems and own responsiblities to fix? Sick of the diet craze and body discrimination, or are you worried about America becoming "land of the obese"? Do you think breast implants are ridiculous and unhealthy or do you believe surgery for purely cosmetic reasons is no one else's business but the person having it done? This is a forum for people of all different walks of life and different viewpoints. Anyone can join as long as you approach the subjects in a mature and open-minded manner. ~*Rules*~ Feel free to post any issue/topic/personal story/anecdote pertaining to beauty and what your views on it are. Be ready to discuss your position. Just be mature and civil about things. That means NO name-calling, NO trolling and NO assuming horrible things about the person you're debating with. Also, if you post a picture with nudity in it, please put it behind an LJ-cut and label it NSFW (Not Safe For Work).
