pale skin
What colors [clothing wise] look good on people with pale skin? It seems like EVERYTHING looks amazing on tan people and yet if I wear certain colors I look horribly washed out [like anything really dark]. Or do you think it doesn't really matter and it's just personal taste?

I'm a pale girl with red hair and I love to wear warm, autumn inspired colors like brown or rust. I also love any shade of green, navy, grey, and blue. Just experiment a bit.

Try jewel tones. Purple, deep blue, teal, green, burt orange, burgundy - They always look lovely against pale skin. I feel your pain - yay for being pale, lol!

I have pale skin and very dark hair and I find cream/ivory looks wonderful on me.

no, tan skin doesn't look good with eeeeverything. i have olive/tan skin and i find i can't wear bright tropical colours like coral orange/pink, bright blue, etc. especially not as a nail polish, yech. it makes me sad sometimes that i can't wear a funky neon pink on my nails :(

I say jewel or autumn colors, but it depends on hair color too. If you are not wanting to look as pale, white is a good option. I am down right see through almost and white makes me look tan.

depends on the color of your hair and eyes too. im pale with blonde hair and blue/grey eyes and i do really well with pastels.

Yeah definitely depends on your hair and eyes as well. I'm pale with dark hair and blue eyes and I wear lots of black, light pink, and blue (any shade).

purple! that looks awesome on pale people.

im not really a fan of white on pale skin. it makes the skin look tan in comparison but imo it also washes them out at the same time.

I'm very fair and I like to wear burgundy, navy, pink, and brown. I like green, so I wear that, too.

I am very pale with warm-tone skin, green eyes and brown hair and I find cream, dark purple, navy and forest green really bring out my colouring. I find that black is ok as long as I wear another colour near my face so it doesn't wash me out (ie. black top with a cream scarf).

I'm very, very pale too, and I love how fucsia/hot pink looks on me. I like the contrast. It looks cute :)
And like it has been said before, purple looks great too.

Deep purple, emerald green, anything red, and white/cream/ivory colors look good on me. I have pale skin and dark hair.

I'm pretty pale and I like blues, greens, and purples -- anything cool, really. I try to avoid white and black.

Like everyone said, jewel tones. I wear a lot of black (I have three drawers filled with just black - and that's not even getting into any of my three closets!). I also love burgandy. I have a fair amount of olive green also.

I'm a big fan of l'oreal HIP pigments, some of their shades look great on fair/pale skin.

I'm blonde with cool-toned fair skin and brown eyes.

I like wearing teal shadow.

I also like emerald or forest green, or plum purple. MAC's Humid is a lovely dark forest green with shimmer.

its much more shimmery and darker blue than the picture. target carries this brand. sometimes this particular color is hard to find though.

I also recommend l'oreal HIP's eyeliners, they only have like 4 shades. but they are wonderfully soft and pigmented and long-lasting. I have the green, black, and blue shades.

I dont shun black, I like doing a black smokey eye because it pops with my blonde hair and dark eyes! :P
MAC makes a beautiful black shadow with silver sparkles called Black Tied.
