I bought that top and skinny jean. I'm having a hard time deciding what "footwear" will go with that outfit. No high heels or flats. Possibly boots or Vans KVD Slips? Any ideas?

One more thing... )

I never had this problem until I bleached my hair last summer (professionally) and ever since that time, every time I dye my hair black...my head hurts when I put the dye on..and my hair falls out(especially the front part of my head)..but after 3 months..it grows back out.and I can tell it grows back in because there is so many little flyaway hairs. what the??????? i really like my hair blue black though...I just use regular hair dye at home.I don't leave it in for too long..cuz its not very pleasant..so my hair goes back to brown within a month
what do I do??

I fear that I'm allergic or something to spray-on perfumes. Every time I use them, I begin sneezing, and for the longest time I didn't think that the perfumes were the cause of it. I'm pretty sure it's the alcohol I'm allergic to, or whatever it is that makes it so spritzy, so I've decided to make a switch to solid perfumes. Problem is, I live in a town where there's no place that sells any, and driving to a town that does is not feasible at this point in time. That's where the internet comes in!

What sites do you recommend? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to what fragrances are good on me, so I'm willing to try just about anything. I also have slightly sensitive skin, if that changes anything. I've read through the tags, and LUSH and Pacifica have been mentioned, but where else can you lovely ladies point me to?

I have a plantar that I'm having trouble removing.
I've had luck with these in the past but this one is on the side of my toe :/ so the stick on pads don't stay very well.
Looking for other medicines I can get at the drug store.
Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Any recs for good eyeliner that doesn't fade, is very easy for an Extreme NewbieTM whose hands are still clumsy when it comes to the whole eye makeup thing, and can be found at a local drugstore?  I'm not exactly on a MAC budget, here.  >.>;;

Drugstore eyeshadow type/brand recs would be good too - I have very deep-set eyes, and though I try doing a darker color along my lash line, it seems like my shadows always end up blending together after about an hour until it looks like I just have one color on, and it's very muddy and looks a lot like my undereye circles. :(

(Would shadow primer help with that, or am I just screwed b/c of how my eyes are built?  Is shadow primer good for helping concealer stay on?)

Right now I use Maybelline, Cover Girl and L'oreal shadows, and I have a Rimmel soft kohl liner that I'm really not all that jazzed about.  Tips for less frustrating and mistake-prone application would be welcome, if you have any.

OKAY LJ THIS ISN'T FUNNY. This is like the third time I've written this post. ;-;

I finally have the money to get my hair cut for the first time in six months, and I want beauty101's opinion on how to get it cut. Here are a few things to keep in mind...

I have naturally blonde, straight-as-a-pin hair. It is naturally ridiculously oily and refuses to have any volume despite my best attempts. It is also prone to split-ends. I will be styling it daily with hot rollers for some curl and volume.

I am ultimately trying to grow my hair out, because I will have to put it up for nursing school in about eight months. I don't have a problem with layers, so long as most of my hair is long enough to put back in a pony tail.  I also want something that will still look cute and stylish with my hair up, if that's at all possible.

I have a fairly long face with a high forehead; I'd like to have a haircut that kind of minimizes that.

So, on to the pictures!

so at the advice of my stylists i had my hair dyed and had highlights before my wedding which led to my hair being so dry.
after a month or more in denial of needing to put anything on it for help except conditionare, i went to a saloon and had a power dosage something which made my hair soft again (i was in the philippines) .
after a week or so of it..(now living in Poland) i then used my new VS straighter to straighten the frizz/ make curls.

now my hair is dry again. =(

obviously i cant walk into a hair salon now to have anything done since everything is too damn expensive in poland.
so i was hoping what kind of hair treatment would be effective to use.
the prices can vary.

I know hair is a silly thing to be soo conflicted about but ahah, here I am. or http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs068.snc3/13566_1163937823168_1369530117_30377527_8283498_n.jpg.

1. Do the LUSH hair dye hennas last very long in your hair? I was told by an employee last night that they can stick around for three months at least on two squares of it, and since my last box dye is basically worn away in a month's time...that would be nice. (I go from dark brown to deep black, for reference)

2. This is more of an opinion since I'm trying to decide between the three- I'm getting another ear piercing done this weekend (have a helix and two lobes already) and not sure which to get this time (though I want all of them eventually).

So!

This is a picture of me now.
This is a picture that shows my helix.
This is a pic that shows my 14 g lobe, also in the ear with my helix.

And what I'm interested in is:

.Conch
.Rook
.Tragus

Which do you think would look best, and which ear should I get it in? =D

(Ultimately I'll make the decision but I wanted to get outside thoughts!)

EDIT: Also, as an aside, I don't want it TOO noticeable as I work in an office. I can easily cover it with my hair but there's a reason I can't get an industrial, y'know? :P

The Holy Grail of inexpensive Mascaras!

I am in absolute love with this mascara for everyday use! It's not ridiculously priced ($18 @ Ulta...compared to $27 @ Sephora Dior's Iconic which I love but use sparingly, lol) It's amazing! It doesn't clump, separates your lashes giving the curl and length. The applicator isn't huge and fuzzy which is great if you want precision application without getting mascara all over your lids. Specially for bottom lashes. This product has really blown me away!
I just thought I'd share this with you guys because it's something I love!

More pics under the cut! )

My favorite product, the Maybelline Pure Concealer Blemish Treatment Stick, has been discontinued. I saw I can buy them on Amazon and Ebay still, for a high price & probably not forever, so I want a replacement. The great thing about this was that it was concealer AND treatment. Any ideas?

Does anyone know where I can get this Hot Tools Professional Spring Curling Iron in 1 1/2 inch online that doesn't have a huge international shipping fee?

I found it on folica obviously but the shipping fee to Australia is over $50!

Thankyou!

So I've heard around that Rosehip oil is great to put on your face.

I just feel weird putting oil on my face, so yeah?

Do any of you use rosehip oil??

Yes it's Lady Gaga, yes her makeup is usually horrible. This is kinda similar to how I do my makeup every day though (white liner, lengthening mascara, My-Lips-But-Better pink lipstick) only with some extra pop.

Can anyone recommend a lip color that looks like this (anything but gloss) and suggest what she did around her eyes? It looks like a thin line of dark liner blended into sheer shimmer or... Something. And then I have no idea what's on her cheeks.

Extra challenge: I have pink, cool tones to my skin whereas hers are warm and yellow, so the same products may or may not make me look dead.

Raa raa aa-aa-aa romaa roma-maa )

Back again with some more makeup questions. Still not sure what I've decided to do in terms of liquid foundation, whether to keep the MUFE mat velvet or try something else (been hunting for BB creams too since I'm living in Shanghai and they seem to be popular in Asia...only found a brand called BeautyPlus or something similar - no idea if that's a good).

However, my skin is behaving itself the last couple days so I've just dusted on pressed powder I've got (I think its covergirl?) to kill the oilyness. And it feels so nice to have less makeup on that I'm thinking it might be good to invest in a quality powder (haven't decided whether loose or pressed is best, though pressed would be easier to carry with me on the go) to use alone on days when my skin is behaving. The CG (its the TruBlend pressed in translucent light) is alright, but I'm curious about other options since a) I'm not sure the coverage is enough and b) I am not really sure I can get it here anyway (I'm in Shanghai, China). So I'd love some recommendations on powder that can be used alone that:

- has good coverage (I have acne prone skin and uneven skin tone as well as large pores in some areas)
- good for combo/oily skin, so something more matte a.k.a no shimmery stuff.
- talc free and/or suitable for sensitive skin
- long lasting

Loose or pressed is fine, probably preferably something Sephora carries since there are Sephora stores in Shanghai. We also have Watsons and Carrefour in case you know of those places and what they carry.

As far as liquid foundation, I'm still contemplating a couple of things so I'm curious about the pros/cons of the following and recs for what shade. If it helps, I wear 30 Watts in the Stila Illuminating and 30 in MUFE mat velvet (though I'm starting to think its a tad pale and perhaps I need one shade darker, not sure. I have fair/light skin that is not definitively warm or cool toned, I've always had the best matches with neutral shades.

what does everyone think of the E.L.F studio line? I've been watching youtube reviews and reading MUA, but everything seems to be quite mixed so I was just looking for some more opinions.

I'd love to hear about your experience with any of the products, especially the HD powder.

thanks!
