Wow. A lot can happen when you move and get married. I really didn't mean to totally abandon this community- it was one of my favorite creations. It was a huge part of my life, as is my love for the Beatles. But I don't have a reliable internet connection anymore, and I've been so busy, so I haven't been able to update as I would have liked. It seems the last post was on my birthday, just over a month ago- that's not too bad. I'm glad people continued to post in my absence at all. I love the new icons that have been posted.
My husband was not a Beatles fan, but I have succeeded in getting him hooked on several of their songs. I still love them just as much, with a little bit more passion for John Lennon's solo career. I moved to a different state on October 7, two days before his birthday, and got married on December 12, three days after the anniversary of his death. I wish I could have done a memorial post like I did last year.
In short, I've really missed this community.

Hi, all! I was just searching for Beatles icons and happened upon this community. I recently took a couple trips to Strawberry Fields, which was amazing, and I've been in quite a Beatles mood since.
I never did find what I was looking for, though. In honor of Solstice, I was hoping to find a nice, bright "Here Comes the Sun" icon. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

| Beatles fabric |
[07 Oct 2008|09:52am] |
Beatle-Fans, padawansguide found some GREAT Beatles fabric here:
http://equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?catid=113
It is pretty pricey (over $8 a yard) but it's the only fabric of its type that I've ever seen, and beleive me, I've looked!
Also, they sell out fast, so if you think you may want some for a future project, get some now.
I plan on making some cute skirts, totes, and quilts with mine. :)

Hello everyone, Andsoshewrites here! And as you may or may not know, I started a Beatles slash RPG, called thebeatleworld
And wow. I never realized the writers I'd get. Honestly, everyone is such an amazing writer, and I am so lucky to have the chance to write with them and to have them as a part of my RPG.
But I know there's been some complaint about everything that's been being posted lately in Beatle comms, and I just thought that I'd tell everyone about thebeatleworld. So far we have a Paul (me), John, George, Ringo, Brian, Cynthia, Pattie, Bob Dylan, and even a Derek Taylor.
And I personally think the storyline is great. Everything works out quite well. Here are a list of some of the relationships that have been played in the RP:
John/Paul John/Brian Paul/George Brian/George Cynthia/Bob Dylan
And of coarse, John/Cynthia and George/Pattie.
We post quite often, and all the NC-17 threads are friends-locked, but you can join just to watch :D/
But, if you want to play, you can. We're currently looking for a Jane Asher and a Maureen Cox. But if you want to be someone else, you may. Just send me an email at andsoshewrites@yahoo.com and read the profile of thebeatleworld
Now, here are the current players:
nemperor as mrepstein
alicia_h as cyn_lennon64
maccas4evrlver as johnwlennon
blut_kruez as george_harri_22 and bob_dylan_1954
hirelk as richiestarr
749_penny_lane as derek_taylor
warning7280 as pattieboyd64
andsoshewrites as jamespmacca
And honestly, each and every one of them to a fantastic job! (Maybe not me, so much as them)
I'll put some snippets of the RP under a cut, so you all can see if you like it :]

| The Family Way |
[05 Jul 2008|12:24pm] |
Hi there, dear beatlefans!
Though I'm really big fan of Paul and John, I could never find the original soundtrack to the movie "Family Way", released in 1966. As every beatlefan knows, this soundtrack can be honestly called "McCartney's first solo project"....But I could never hear it!..(((
Could you please share it with me,if you have one?...Perhaps, upload somewhere etc...It seems to be very rare.

Title: Yer Blues Author: Goodbye2pisces Starring: George, John, Paul Rating: E (for extreme silliness) Disclaimer: Nothing is real... Synopsis: Just the usual Hong Kong Foolery Notes:I don't know if I've mentioned that I decided to (FINALLY) finish up my degree this year so I've been in homework hell for for what seems like forever now. Anyway, I've had three tests one on top of the other in the last few weeks. Did really well on the first two, the third--not so much, so as I was feeling a bit of the academic failure I decided to break out Anthology to cheer myself up and this bit of silliness came tumbling out. It's just a drabble really, Completely improbable and implausible and plenty of other words that begin with imp, but hopefully good for a laugh or two anyway :)

It may not mean much to anyone else, but I was a little stunned to realize that I just posted my 1000th Beatles related entry over at Blog, Blog Me Do.
That's a lot of Fab Four fun, news and trivia in just over two years. According to the sites stats, in that time the blog has had 40,000 visitors from 103 countries. There's a lot of other Beatle nuts about.

| So, what characters in Eppy's life would YOU like to see played in the movie? |
[04 Mar 2008|12:36pm] |
In this board of the forum, regarding characters who will be in The Fifth Beatle movie (other than Brian and The Beatles themselves) I had submitted three categories of possible characters off the top of my head (since even I do not know who will be portrayed) ~~
*Early Days*
Harry and Queenie Clive Epstein Joe Flannery Sam Leach Vera Brown Bob Wooler Allan Williams Sonia Seligson ... (stagename: Stevens) Rita Harris Alistair Taylor Cilla Black Gerry Marsden | *Beatlemania Days*
Cyn, Mo, Pattie, Jane Neil Aspinall Mal Evans Alf Bicknell Derek Taylor Ed Sullivan Tony Bramwell Tony Barrow Brian Sommerville Murray the K Larry Kane Dizz Gillespie Nat Weiss | *Brian's Last Year*
Alma Cogan Lionel Bart Clive's wife Barbara ... and baby Joanna Dr Norman Cowan Joanne (Newfield) Petersen Peter Brown Geoffrey Ellis the "rent boys" ... who showed up too late Bryan Barrett Dr John Gallway Jimi Hendrix | Jonathan (with the movie) posted a little teaser for your response! Unless dealing with this would make you think too much.... ;P Here it is: Hi everybody,
Good to see some new members signing up for the boards.
I'd be happy to drop some clues on some other characters that are in the script, but I'd love to see everybody else's thoughts first.
Who would you like to see in Brian's story? Who do you think deserves to be there?
~Jonathan The Eppylover is burning with curiosity now!

OK, so I finally got around to watching "Across the Universe" but the jury is still out for me. First I have to say the girl that played Sexy Sadie was great - kind of put me in mind of Janis Joplin (obviously that is a plus for me) of course the music was great and most of it was very well done. I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination - I just don't like most remakes. I thought it was worth watching and I loved that lots of it reminded me of my youth (yes, I'm that old). Some of it was just too weird, even for me but overall I have to say I thought it was well worth the time.

Hi everyone!
Did anyone get Paul's newly-released dvd "Ecce Cor Meum"?. The dvd shows his classical piece ECM on the premiere in London at the Royal Albert Hall on November 3rd, 2006. Was anyone there that night? I was! It was just great, and an awesome place to see a classical piece by Paul.

At any rate, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to the community (and indeed LJ itself) but I hope to be a welcome part of it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE?
I have a This Day in Beatle History on my igoogle, and read this.
1943 - This day was commonly thought to be George Harrison's birthday. In 1992, Harrison was reported to have said, "I only learned recently after all these years that the date and time of my own birth have always been off by one calendar day and about a half hour on the clock."
Someone please elabrorate. So? Is it the 26th? or 24?

Thought everyone would like to see this, it's a busy day in Beatle's History....
1963 - The Beatles recorded their first album "Please Please Please Me," including "Twist & Shout" and "I Saw Her Standing There."
1964 - The Beatles played their first U.S. concert at the Collisseum in Washington, DC.
1965 - Ringo Starr and Maureen Cox were married. They divorced in 1975.
1970 - The film "The Magic Christian," featuring Ringo Starr debuted in New York City.
1970 - John Lennon paid 1,344 pounds in fines for protesting the South African rugby team playing in Scotland.
1970 - John Lennon and Yoko Ono played "Instant Karma" on the BBC TV show "Top of the Pops."
2002 - Friends of former Beatle George Harrison filed an amendment death certificate. The original death certificate listed a fake address in Beverly Hills. Harrison had actually died several miles away in Hollywood Hills.
