1) Do you like blue cheese? Not really, but then I haven't had it in a long time.
2) Have you ever smoked heroin? No.
3) Do you own guns? I hate guns. No.
4) What flavour do you add to your drink at Sonic? I just buy a big cherry limeade, no flavour added.
5) Do you get nervous before doctor appointments? It depends on the appointment. I've had pregnancy and STD scares (brought on -- like so many who end up with positive tests -- by faulty education), *those* I was nervous about.
6) What do you think of hot dogs? Love 'em
7) Favorite Christmas song? Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano.
8) What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Orange juice.
9) Can you do push ups? Not recently.
10) Can you do a chin up? Never could.
11) What's your favorite piece of jewelry? I have a few. But I esp. love my father and grandmother's class rings because each one of them gave me the other's.
12) Favourite hobby? Going to the movies. 13) Ever been in a car wreck? Lots of accidents but no wrecks, fortunately.
14) Do you have A.D.D.? Could be. I've never been tested or diagnosed.
15) What's one trait that you hate about yourself? Being neurotic in this day and age is wholly selfish and I categorically refuse to take part.
16) Middle name? Kathleen
17) Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment? I need new definitions for the intro to The Fall, I need to be brainstorming for new articles, I need to be *paid* for the last article!
18) Name 3 things you bought today? A triad candle Blessings Kit, a pepperjack cheese stick, a golden delicious apple.
19) Name 3 drinks you drink regularly? Water, Panera Bread frozen mochas, Amber Bock
20) Current worry? Money, finding a new job, getting into a master's program.
21) Current hate right now? My former boss. What an inconsiderate, disorganized whack-job he turned out to be (and he'd better give me my damn money).
22) What is your dream job? Writing novels and short stories, volunteering and mothering .
23) How did you bring in the New Year? Hanging out with wintermexican and johnnyskull at RuJohn's house.
24) Where would you like to go? Back to London, Dublin, Cardiff.
25) Name three people who will complete this? nyghtshayde, heyokah, twetwe123
26) Do you own slippers? No.
27) What shirt are you wearing? A blue t-shirt which reads "It's mind over matter. I don't mind because you don't matter. " I bought it at RagORama. 28) Do you like sleeping on satin sheets? *Satan's* sheets? Is that what you said?
29) Can you whistle? Oh yes.
30) Favorite colour? Sky blues and brassy, blood reds.
31) Would you be a pirate? They might have a problem with my labia -- apparently those are bad luck on a boat.
32) What songs do you sing in the shower? I don't sing in the shower. I will occasionally recite dialogue for a story if it occurs to me while I'm in there.
33) Favourite girl's name? Annabel
34) Favourite boy's name? Aidan
35) What's in your pocket? Several stones: spotted jade, clear quartz, an obsidian bead, a piece of sculpted marble Rachel found on the Trail of Tears. A soapstone triquetra in a blue satin bag. My comb. A band for my hair and four hair clips. A multifiber cloth to wipe my glasses with...
Just get me a horn and a pink wig, already. Or a packet of Jelly Babies and an overlong scarf.
36) Last thing that made you laugh? Interstate 60
37) Best bed sheets as a child? I think I loved my plain blue ones.
38) Worst injury you've ever had? I broke my left wrist when I was 10 years old.
39) Do you love where you live? Oh yes. Just not sure this is where I'm meant to stay.
40) How many TVs do you have in your house? Four.
41) Who is your loudest friend? Rene.
42) How many dogs do you have? Just Sarah, my best true friend.
43) Do you like sushi? I love California roll.
44)What is your favorite game to play on road trips? Repeat the strange playlist.
45) What is your favorite book? I have several, and the current favourite changes frequently. Right now it's Sexual Personae by Camille Paglia.
46) What is your favorite candy? Junior Mints. My body responds to dark chocolate and mint the way others respond to crack.
47) Favorite Sports Team? I follow sports largely by osmosis so my teams are the Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
48) What song do you want played at your funeral? "Let It Be" by the Beatles, "Seven Seas of Rhye" by Queen and "Always Look On the Bright Side of Life" from Monty Python's Life of Brian. Anyone who attempts to fit a Christian hymn into the program will be promptly haunted and gaslighted into insanity.
49) What were you doing 12 AM last night? Writing more of chapter 5, flipping through my new Mary Gaitskill book.
50) What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up? What time is it? Am I late for the meeting? |

In honor of craterdweller, who just put up a downloadable link to this MP3 of Scott Bakula singing this song from Quantum Leap! Come over to starbase_karma and join the Day of Blogs fun to get it!
Tell ya what, I can't imagine a more appropriate song for what we're doing today. Maria, you rock!!
Imagine there's no Heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today
Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one |

| Day of Blogs in Progress-- RIGHT NOW |
[Jul. 26th, 2008|12:06 pm] |
So exciting! Day of Blogs has started in starbase_karma!
But we still need sponsors to help us raise funds for Burma.
Just FYI, the US Campaign for Burma is the charity Walt Koenig (Chekov from Star Trek) supports. To read about this, here's the link on his website:
http://www.walterkoenigsite.com/burma.html
From there you can also read Walt's Burma Journal and see video of his visit there.
If you would like to sponsor Starbase Karma for Day of Blogs. Just go to Campaign for Burma's website:
https://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/1189/t/5102/shop/custom.jsp?donate_page_KEY=1313
Once you make your donation, please forward your receipt to us at: trekwriter@gmail.com
Unlike Blogathon from last year, Day of Blogs is using a low tech website to tie the event together, so e-mailing your receipt is the only way we can track how much money we have raised.
Make sense? Thanks guys! |

Through music, one finds there’s no filter. Music seeps inside you and pierces you in a way - and in a deeper way - than words alone do. - Marc Platt, Producer of Wicked my heart's too full from farewell for the words to flow. but rgs choir, i do love you. |
