Hello and welcome!



This is a community for all things artistic - whether it be poetry, erotica, icons, banners, novellas, photography or digital art. You choose what "art" is - who am I to say? You are welcomed to post any of your art here - be it hand made and you take photographs, digital or otherwise. Any and all art is welcomed:)



This is a sharing community - we welcome lurkers but also encourage members to post their art. We are a mature group (not in age necessarily, but in thought) and will give feedback to you on whatever you post. It will never be slanderous or demeaning - we do not "flame" here. This is a community for those that are secure in themselves and have art to share and post.

The art posted here is a creation of one's heart and soul. Should you see something that you like, feel free to ask the posting member if you may use it - it is truly up to them to allow permission or not. By joining beat_of_art you agree to this. Please also be aware that you may find offerings here that are of an erotic or sexual nature. This may not be the community for you if you are under 18.

Should items that are posted here turn up in other places without the posting member's expressed permission, you will be banned from this community posthaste and put on our wall of shame. Stealing is a no-no! Please also credit the posting member should what you take be used elsewhere on the internet and/or LJ. Credit is required unless the posting member says it isn't. No posts should point to any community or journal that you have to friend or join to see the items offered. This is a completely PUBLIC community. No lj cuts to friends' only journals or communites that you have to join.

Some members may take requests - please ask the member that you are interested in for details.

Should membership grow I would like to start contests weekly for a particular type of art per week - that will be decided in the future. This community is maintained by myself, roostersgrrl and my good friend endivee. Feel free to contact us at any time if you need any assitance.
