I decided to finally compile all of my icons and share them, so a slew of various icons can be found at my journal.

In particular, I have several icons of the winter Olympics (most of past pair ice skaters which is my favorite) and icons of the art of James C Christensen. James Christensen is a modern artist, who specializes in fanasty/whimsical paintings. His characters are often plump, tiny little men, and if you look hard, you'll usually find a flying fish some place in his painting. All of his paintings have hidden symbolism and mythlogical meaning that add so much depth to his work. They are fantastic--the colors are vibrant and they are truly some of the most original "realism" paintings in a long time. All of his work can be found online at The Greenwich Workshop, with corresponding information about each painting.

Taking applications for a mod..........


I need a mod to help with the community: the first responsibility you would have is to organize all the post into tags and memories. I don't have time to do this myself, so that's why I need a mod.

LJ backend familiarity is a must - setting up memories and editing all post to include tags. Once you have created the tag list, run it by me so that we can post it to members to use when they post art - whether it be poetry, erotica, brushes, bases, etc. We'd have to go over the tag list together before it's implement community-wide. You'd also have the responsibility of checking new posts to assure that tags are present and placing then in correct category in the memories. General maintenance, if you will. And of course I would assist in this process.

Please reply here if you are interested - and let me know if you own/mod any other communities and why you feel that you would be a good choice. Comments are screened completely, so feel free to tell me anything.

Okay, so I gave myself a challenge: make icons of every base I have, which are organized in folders by theme. First up was Animals. I'm about halfway done with them. Yes, some of them are really simple, and some of them are cliche, but the point wasn't to make them the best, but to just make them.

Anyone that wants them, feel free, just abide by the usual rules. No hotlinking, and give credit. Comments are pretty sweet too, it makes me want to make more.

When asking to join this community, I will go and look at your userinfo, LJ and userpics. Denial may happen for the following reasons:


* Your LJ is relatively new
* Your LJ is friends only. When I encounter these I leave a comment stating I've been there. I will also add you to my friends' list. I try to take care with the people I approve for membership here as I wish for no drama to come to this community. If I can't see who you are and get a feel for who you are, I'm not likely to add you unless I know you from another LJ community.
* If you joined because of a resource that I posted in another community and I do not see credit from you in either your userinfo or resource post, I will not approve your membership. I'm not trying to be an ass, but I spend a fair amount of time on my resources and all I ask for is a mention of my name. Not to much to ask, do you think? ;)
*Your userpics do not show any credit to them. Even if you have all your own creations, it's important to credit even yourself because other LJ members may like your icon and want to see who created it. LJ userpic credit is a good thing - kinda like free advertising!
