Halloween 2007 Bearista
Hi all! I just joined this community as I just got my very first Bearista today! It was a present from my mum who mistook it for "some kind of weird-looking but cute cat" (we tend to collect cat items in the family)... Turns out it's really a Halloween, "trick-or-treat" bear dressing up as a black cat! Needless to say it looks adorable, with its ears sticking out of its kitty costume and its pumpkin-shaped basket. I especially like the fact that it's actually a full bear in a cat costume... and that you can lower the hood! :) Here are some pictures:     I had no idea there was a whole collection of Starbucks Bearistas out there... From now on I'm going to keep my eyes peeled whenever I enter a Starbucks! :) The Year of the Rat edition looks awesome! Does anyone know whether it's being commercialized in Europe? I know I'm new here and I'm posting alot, but it seems a little dead and I just thought I'd get things going. Well, last night we went to a great new Bear bar here in town, and it was awesome. I got a little angry at my BF Mark (Cubby Tongue) got it on RIGHT NEXT TO THE STAGE with a huge leather polar bear/beaver type for like half and hour (don't tell him, I still thought it was pretty hot, though) :( Anyways, it's called Club Anything if you're ever in Milwaukee check it out! | | Friday, July 6th, 2007 | 7:46 pm

A pack of grizzlies is a nice home, though sometimes I may like to roam But soon we must learn to work together Support each other thru winter whether What's it about, this family of bears? Is it only about the cute cute buns and hairs We must learn we are brothers, beneath all the fur And all the bears like kittens will purrr When one of us makes a wonderful creation Then all of his pack must support him all thru the nation So let's try to do whatever we can Not to tear a bear down, but help him to stand I hope some of the more negatives can take this poem to heart. WHAT UP HOMIES! LOL :) I just WON FIRST PRIZE AT PRIDEFEST FOR BEST FLOAT, NON-STANDARD GAE MALE CATEGORY!!! IT'S THE BIGGEST GAE FESTIVAL IN THE LOWER MIDWEST! CHECK IT OOOOUUUUTTTTT!!!!  THAT'S ME WITH THE DARK GLASSES!!! ALL HANDS ON DECK, NOT!!!!!! *Woof* gurgle gurgle Ten important bears are underneath carrying the float, 3 underwater ( LOL ) and two bears were no-shows, one chose (at the last minute and without giving yours truly a growl on the telephone beforehand, btw) in the panda-chub float and Scott had lost weight lately and so has been hanging out more with the otter/community. Lovey, Cuddly, Bearista!
Hey everyone! Just joined! I lovelovelove the Bearista Bears! I started collecting them in '03. I was wanting to see if I could get some of the older ones, you know, to complete my collection. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about doing that? All of the websites I've found are so unbelievably out of date (like 5 years or so) and I've read that sometimes, if you buy on Ebay, you can get an imposter Bearista. While those are cute, it would be disappointing to find out that I hadn't gotten the real deal, y'know? So, anyway. Just wanted to introduce myself. I had no idea that collecting these bears was so popular. :) I'm so excited that I stumbled on this group! New Local Bears
I'm not sure if this community is active anymore since the last posts are from a couple of months ago, but I thought I would try. With the new local bears being in so many cities (12 that I know of so far), I'm curious if anyone would be interested in trading. I've got easy access to both the San Francisco and the Washington, DC bears. Valentine's Bearistas?
Hi! My sister has been collecting bearistas for a couple of years now, ever since she got one at the original Starbucks in Seattle, but she's run into a bit of a problem. Although Valentine's day is getting pretty close, none of the Starbucks around us have the bearistas in yet. One of the Starbucks that we asked mentioned something about "discontinuing" them... has anyone else had no luck finding the new bearistas? I was just wondering if this is just a local problem or something with all Starbucks. And we've checked on eBay and haven't found too many of the 2005 Valentine's bearistas which is suspicious.
