Well, 3 weeks after Mariah had to cross the Rainbow Bridge I was exchanging my gift exchange present for Ashli at work...she's got a bitty dog, but I didn't know that it was a HE and I had purchased a *cute* pink top that said Princess.....took it and exchanged it and went back to where the Heartland Humane Society has cats for adoption on the weekends. I was looking at another tuxedo by the name of Duey, and used my cell to call Ed (what did we do without our cells?) ...he tried to tell me that we were going to wait until Max was ready to cross....he passed a cage with a orange tabby with white mittens and boots and said, "If I were going to get another cat, I'd want one like him....

About 20 minutes later, one of the foster moms was handing me an application to fill out and after that, we brought home a 6-month-old (thinking he was more like 9 months old) pussthing...he is really cute and his name is Payton (Foster Mom named him), so we'll keep his name. I had him in my bedroom with a litterbox, but he was so rambuntious during the night, I had to take my pillows and sleep on the couch. He got out of jail yesterday and while Max IS NOT interested, Payton is playing with Felix. So, we're back to a 3 pussthing house!

I went back and bought a small scratching post with spray catnip, so hopefully he'll learn not to scratch up our furniture and dining room table chairs!

Sadly yesterday my BFF's mom lost her Bichon to a Pit Bull...walking the dog and wanted the owners of another condo that the vehicle should not be blocking the sidewalk. Went up to their door, thinking about nicely asking them and the dog charged the door, got Charlie in his mouth and broke his neck. She's going to be lost without Charlie, since her husband has Alzheimer's and kidney disease and Charlie was one thing that has kept her calm and able to cope...I'm so sad for her =(

meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
