Billy / Beecake on TV Beecake twittered earlier that they "Recorded some stuff this afternoon for a Scottish TV show to be aired soon". Now there's another twitter from Kenny_Park, and I assume it's a pic from that show. http://twitpic.com/83awaSo, people in the UK should be able to see the show and it will be on BBC iplayer when it's been broadcast. :) | | Monday, June 22nd, 2009 | 6:10 pm [quasievil_bunny]

Only boys aloud at singing event
:snip: A message of support from Scots actor and Lord of the Rings star Billy Boyd was shown to the boys. He said: "I think it's really important for boys of this age to be encouraged to be creative and to feel supported if they want to get involved in the arts, I know first hand some of the stigma attached to being of school age and wanting to perform. "This is an incredible project and I know how fulfilling and fun it will be for all involved, whether they want to take their singing further or just take this one opportunity to feel the thrill of singing in a choir. I support this scheme wholeheartedly." :snip: Full article here. Current Mood: busy | | Friday, May 1st, 2009 | 5:43 pm [quasievil_bunny]

Billy's new message on Myspace (re.Dress To Kilt and and others) Saturday, March 21, 2009 Just a heads up.
I heard a rumour some people were going to Tartan week in New York. There was some talk of me hitting the catwalk at this years Dressed to Kilt! Unfortunately due to a clash of dates I'm sad to say it won't be possible this year. For those people thinking of going....it's a great night, I'm sure you'd love it, but sadly you won't see me there.
On a different note, what do you think of the new tracks? I hope you like. We are all looking forward to some gigs soon.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Spring! Do you say Happy Spring? maybe Merry Spring? probably not.Swing into Spring..there you are that'll do.
Love to you, Billy x | | Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 | 5:26 pm [quasievil_bunny]

Update on "Kilted Scots" calendars sassywitch asked me to post about this because she's in transit at the moment. It was reported a couple of days ago that the "Kilted Scots" calendar, published by the One City Trust, was going to be pulped because it hadn't sold well. Sass emailed the Trust about it and got the following reply: Thank you for your enquiry via our website. None of the Calendars have or will be pulped as misreported in the Edinburgh Evening News last week. You are welcome to purchase a copy of the calendar from our website.
Best wishes, Marion OneCity Trust If anyone does want a copy, you can purchase it from the OneCityShop and the price is £5.00 plus P&P. | | Sunday, March 8th, 2009 | 5:09 pm [quasievil_bunny]

Stone of Destiny showing in Vancouver
For those who lives in (or close to) Vancouver, Stone of Destiny will be playing this Sunday at The Park Theatre at 10am as a part of their Sunday film series. Charles Martin Smith, the director of the film, will be attending as the guest speaker. Tickets are selling at $12, which is (to me) relatively reasonable, and definitely worth the trip. :) You can find more information about it in this page. |
