voice, his heart, his motivation. Sometime things just snap into place as you're
writing. This was most definitely the case for me. I like what judy_blue_cat   said about Jack in this, "This is just exactly it, the heart of Jack’s problem in the OS. He can’t drive a tough bargain with Ennis because Ennis already owns him."
