Aboutthis is an open community for those in the Bay Area with any interest or involvement in the world of photography.
what i hope this to become is an open arena for discussion, suggestion & recommendation.
i know there's many similar communities in existence, and for that same reason i felt the need for one more specific to the area that i(and probably, you) live.
ideally i'd like this to grow into a big local network, a place where one can show their work, a place where one can spread the word about a showing or event, a place where one can inquire as to where to go for a particular need, a place where people can find others in which to collaborate with. i'd like to eventually have photo meets, social gatherings, what have you.
i'd like to see what i see on a daily basis through other people's eyes. i'd like to see what i'd passed over on a daily basis, never knowing it was there.
just to clarify, this place is by no means pretentious, elitist, or closed to just local area inhabitants.
casual picture-takers, welcome. picture lovers, but not themselves takers, welcome.
and it's not all about just photography. models, makeup artists, musicians, promoters, filmmakers, cinematographers, graphic designers, graf heads, artists of any genre and medium, welcome. i mean because really, we're all connected in our arts, and i'm sure alot of us have interest in many besides our primary passion.
if i could have fit bay area visceral orgy as the community name, i would have.
