Interviews with Grace Park and Jamie Bamber

A FHM interview with Grace with a lot of sexy pictures. http://www.fhmonline.com/girls_girls_of_fhm_article.asp?cnl_id=1&stn_id=1&idx_id=6350
She talks about The Cleaner and BSG. There's one little bit of info that might be considered a little spoilery that pleased me very much. :)

Another very long interview with Grace: http://www.ugo.com/ugo/html/article/?id=18932&sectionId=7

And in case you haven't seen this already, here is, well, not a proper interview, but an article with quotes by Jamie Bamber. He is another cast member who claims that the finale is amazing, the best thing Ron has ever written, and he says that it answers all the questions.

http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=0&id=57983&type=0

Maureen Ryan Interview with Ron Moore

The full interview with Ron which covers BSG and Caprica can be found here. Maureen put what she thought might be a spoiler at the end of the interview, but I don't feel it's a spoiler, just Ron's way of phrasing something.

Here are some of the highlights she listed from the interview:

* The proposed 'Battlestar Galactica" TV movie would take place during the time frame of previous seasons, but it would air after the series finale.

* (SciFi President Dave) Howe said the final episodes of 'Battlestar' will begin airing in January.

* The final set of episodes will be at least 11 hours long, and the series finale will occupy three of those hours. However, there’s a chance that the series finale could expand even more.

* The 'Battlestar' series finale will definitely expand on DVD. Regardless of the length of the finale that airs on Sci Fi next year, an even longer cut will be released on DVD.

* Howe said that if 'Caprica' gets a full series order, it will air in 2009. If 'Caprica', which was written by Moore and Remi Aubuchon, does not get a series order and airs as a standalone 2-hour movie, it could air this fall.

* Regarding when the network would decide whether to pick 'Caprica' as a full series, Howe said the decision would come in September. He and his team are considering two other pilots as well, 'Revolution' and 'Warehouse 13.' Executives will get a cut of 'Caprica' in early August, then decide in September whether it will become a series.

* Howe said if 'Caprica' does get a series order, it will not be something that is designed to end after 13 episodes. It’ll be a regular series that could potentially go on for years, not a limited-run series.

Oh, and contradicting what I just posted from the SciFi Wire:

MR: Indeed. As far as Webisodes, are they still happening?

RDM: Yes, they haven’t shot them yet, they haven’t made the announcement yet. They haven’t locked down the cast. [laughs] I’m not sure what they do in business affairs, but they haven’t locked down all these contracts yet. But yeah, there’s an intention to do them, 10 of them.

MR: Who wrote them?

RDM: Jane, I believe, wrote them. [Mo here: Jane Espenson co-wrote them with "Battlestar" writer Seamus Kevin Fahey. An fyi to readers: I am going to do more checking on the Webisodes. I am going to ask Sci Fi executives if they still intend to make the them and I’ll also ask when the Webisodes would debut.]

So SciFi is announcing the webisdoe will air before Season 4.5, yet they haven't been filmed nor is a cast in place?

A (sort of) Star Wars/BSG link

Most people know, or at least can tell, that the original Battlestar show was heavily inspired by Star Wars.

Over here on the Official Star Wars blog, there's a story about some rare art that was found, by legendary artist Ralph McQuarrie. In it, there's mention of work he did for, and inspiration of, designs for the original BSG.

"The landing bays on the original ’70s Galactica spaceship were originally located at the back end of the ship — Ralph felt they should be moved away from the hull in case of a landing mishap, and so were born the signature “appendage” landing bays on the original Galactica"

The story is a treat not only for Star Wars and BSG fans, but also for those who love learning about the conception and design of shows and movies. I've been amazed by McQuarrie's work for years, so this was a pretty cool little factoid for me today.

And, yes, the show is London judiciary and London cops. It's got the same premise as the original American Law & Order, same everything, just with a UK production company and UK actors. My partner's going to be a British guy named Bradley Walsh." (Bradley Walsh's IMDb page)

The series, which begins production this August in London, will air first on ITV in the United Kingdom.

Wow... I'm surprised, but I'm happy for him! I'm not in neither the US nor UK, but... can American or Canadian people watch ITV? Is there a TV channel like BBC America? Any ideas, anyone?
