BSG Action figures
In July 2008 I pre-ordered the 4 pack Series 4 BSG Figures that I thought was going to be Adama, Laura, Lee and Admiral Cain. Yesterday I received an email from BigBadToystore to say ..... "We have learned that the Battlestar Galactica Series 4 assortment has been changed to a set of three, removing the two President figures and replacing them with Dr. Baltar".

They put a moustache on Adama and put Baltar's head on the body they were going to use for Lee.

Q. Please release Adama Sr. & President Roslin. They were, respectively, the heart and soul of the series and the collection is incomplete without them. Any other figures we get will be very welcome frosting, but these two are necessary, so how about a two pack?
A. We did consider a two pack exactly like that for sometime but the thinking was it would not be exciting to anyone but completists. So we've rolled Baltar and Adama and hopefully Roslin will not be far behind.

It could just be the angle of the pictures, but Lee and Baltar's heads look way too small for their bodies.

So much this. I hate this crap. They do it with the calendars too - if we're lucky we get one picture of Laura in there in a group shot.

They're forgetting the A/R fangirls, I think... I've not bought any of the other BSG action figures but I'd definitely buy the two-pack they mention in the answer.

Does this switcharoo apply to the three pack, too? I have on order the set from Diamond Toys that is supposed to include Adama (sans stache), Laura and President Lee. If this, too, has been changed, I'll want to cancel my order.

I assume it applies to the 3 pack. That Q&A thing that I posted was answered by 'Chuck' who is one of TPTB at Diamond Select Toys and he says the Roslin figure will 'hopefully' be coming out later.

I just checked the Diamond Select Toys website and they posted this which shows Cain, Adama (with mustache) and Baltar.

Are they seriously telling us that there are more BALTAR fans out there than Laura and LEE fans for frak's sake? Because, come on, that's just not true. I really like the Laura with glasses figure...at least her body is in proportion.

And the pornstache? Really? The only reason I MIGHT buy that Bill over the other would be that it looks a little more like Eddie...the other doesn't, IMO.

Disappointment. :(

Yeah, this annoyed me a bit too. I really believe we'll get Roslin eventually, though. They mentioned putting her in a two-pack, possibly with President Lee. And there IS going to be an Adama figure without the mustache, as a Toys R Us exclusive. I think the only reason we're getting Baltar is that a bunch of people have been asking for him, and Lee's had a couple of figures already. But after this, they're pretty much out of excuses not to make Roslin. Plus when you consider they've put money into design and prototypes and stuff, they'll lose money if they don't make the figure. I think. :)

Whatever, as long as I get my Gaeta figure. And maybe in the future New Caprica Gaeta packaged with Jake. XD
