alsdfkjaskdfa I am SO glad I'm going to this! I'm wondering, though: anyone with past experience, do you know how early my friends and I should arrive to get good seats at the panel? We're...Con retarded. Clearly. :D

The big panel? Or the smaller Richard Hatch/Bear McCreary one?

From personal experience, you'll need a few someones in the previous panel to get decent seats in the big room. Ballroom 20's the second biggest room there, so they have lots of big panels there - and people have cottoned on to the idea of getting there early and sitting through whatever else. Seriously. If there's nothing you really want to see immediately before (or even two panels beforehand), get seats and suffer through whatever they've got planned. It's worth it - I promise. :)

When I was in 6B for the Hatch/McCreary panel, I got there about ten minutes early and got a fairly good seat - right next to Bear's bag. :) Here I recommend sitting in the middle section, as the screen (where they'll show fun stuff - we got a blooper reel, I think some recording footage and some of Richard Hatch's stuff) is on the far right and the panelists are right up front.

Hope this helps!

If you want good seats. Go sit in Ballroom 20 as soon as it opens. Comic-Con does not clear rooms between the guest panels so people are allowed to stay in the same room for multiple guest panels. I was there in 2006 and I went and sat in the room around maybe 10am and sat through about 4 or 5 other guest panels waiting for the BSG guest panel. I was close enough to see the big screens they have but I couldn't take any photos because I was too far away.

Well, the biggest hall seats about 8000, IIRC, and Ballroom 20 probably seats 6000?

(Don't quote me on the numbers. Just assume it's huge... because it is. ;) )

It's HUGE. According to the Comic-Con website it holds 6,500 people. And I believe last year that they had to turn people away from the BSG guest panel.

Thanks for the tips! I guess we'll have to be there really early. We want good seats! I had NO idea the room was that big, though. 6500? FRAK ME!

Oh man. I wish I was going to this so much I don't even have words. It sucks so much that I'm not moving the US until two months from now. DAMN.

But I expect full reports from anyone who goes!
