Word Count: Well... none yet, since I really need to know I have a beta first =)
Warnings: No warnings really. It's based on "Batman begins" and "The Dark Knight", so the beta should know those two. And the beta should be okay with OCs ;-)
Summary: It is the calm after the storm. The Joker and half of Gotham's mob wait for their trials and the better part of Gotham's police is hunting Batman for the murder of Harvey Dent and five other people. It's not the easiest of jobs for the young DA Claire Dearing. Will she discover the truth behind Dent's death and the mask of Gotham's dark knight? And how will she deal with the charming billionaire Bruce Wayne, who is nothing like the tormented young man, she knew when they first met in Princeton, many years ago?
Beta Specifics: Well... I'm German, so naturally English is not my first language. That is why I really need a beta, who has an eye on spelling, grammar, canon knowledge (in case I misunderstood something important while watching the movies in English) and word usage. I need someone who can correct anything that sounds odd, because that might happen with a foreign language ;-)

Universe: Several, including some stuff that I threw in myself just because. Mostly comics. The setting’s a little Nolan-ish I suppose. Bit of the Dini cartoons just for good measure.
Genres: Character study. A surprising amount of angst, some fluff.
Characters/Pairings: Bruce, Tim, Dick, Jason, Barbara, Cassandra.
Rating: T
Word Count: 12299 (20 pages)
Warnings: Some pretty heavy child abuse. It’s all off screen but it upset me to write and I’m not easily upset so be prepared for that.
Summary: A number of shorts, about how all the different Batman characters are drawn together over time. Most take place before the characters take on their respective vigilante roles.
Beta Specifics: Okay this is a little complicated. I’m English and would like the speech in the story to be appropriately Americanised. That said I think if the narration is Americanised my head might implode (no offence to the American language. It’s just not what I think in). So I guess someone who can pick out American speech patterns but is willing to switch their spell checker to English UK.
Apart from that, mostly grammar. I’ve spell checked this thing to death so there shouldn’t be too many problems there. However me and commas and paragraphs don’t have a good relationship, so any help with those would be awesome.

Yikes! I stumbled across Batman Confidential 26-28, and the desire to slash could not be denied. My usual beta is more of a movieverse gal, and she felt iffy about taking on a fic grounded in a specific run of comics, let alone featuring the fabulous Mr. Nygma. Would anybody care to help?

Universe: This fic is set immediately after the New Dawn arc of Batman Confidential, in which Batman and the Riddler team up to fight King Tut.
Genres: Romance, character study
Characters/Pairings: Batman/Riddler, Alfred and Harvey/Two-Face
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2 chapters, between 2000 and 2500 words each
Warnings: Slash, and a teency bit of strong language.
Summary: Batman has a hunch that something is up with the Riddler after their surprisingly successful team-up against Tut. Also featuring Arkham chess with Two-Face, some gentle nudging by the incomparable Alfred, and Bruce/Batman/Brucie's identity and savior issues.
Beta Specifics: I'll admit that I still haven't quite figured out where Batman Confidential meshes with continuity; my understanding was that we're dealing with a relatively young Dark Knight, but obviously I will need to make some characterization changes if that is not so. Since this is my first crack at the Riddler, I'd love a second pair of eyes critiquing his characterization (and of course those pesky riddles!) And of course, there's nothing like a thorough beta to ensure that I am not rambling.

Ideally I'd like to know if this works for a reader who has knowledge of Gotham's different incarnations, but knowing Nolanverse will do just fine.

Summary: Being the Hand of a Goddess isn't easy, especially when duty pits a girl against the Dark Knight, but the new Catwoman has a mission, and nothing is going to stand in the way of its completion. Not even Batman.

Beta Specifics: We are looking for someone who is willing to look for potential plot holes and help us create a tighter, more in character story. We have an outline for the entire story already done. The hardest part for us right now is actually writing it, and that is partly because our outline is so long. Someone who would be willing to read both the story and outline would be greatly appreciated.
