This community aims to be a friendly 'safe haven' for writers of Fanfiction, Vidders and Manippers who want to explore the Buffy and Angel Universes. Almost anything goes here, with few exceptions. We take what other communities are unsure about and what you may be wary of putting in your own journals/blogs. We except fiction, video and artwork provided it contains the characters of Buffy/Angel and it is your own work. Fluffy, Schmoopy, Drabble, Poem, Epic, AU, Het, Xover, Slash, Nudity, Slavery,Threesomes, BDSM etc. with the proper warnings, we don't mind. Unsure your work fits in? Contact one of the moderators and we will let you know if it belongs here. Artwork from a single icon to a desktop wallpaper is welcome.

(We aim for a wide membership and some people may be offended.)

COMMUNITY RULES

We want a friendly, peaceful community where people are free to do their own thing within the rules of the community.

* Adopt a 'live and let live' attitude. No- 'My OTP is better than yours' etc.
* COMMENT. We actively encourage this. Writers, Manippers and Vidders put time and
effort in to produce what we see, hear and read. One word can make their day!
* Constructive critisicm ONLY. Flamers will be banned. Remember 'If you can't say
something nice, don't say anything!' Don't like it, don't look, don't comment!
* This is NOT the place for fan wars, back biting and arguements. If you have a dispute
with another member settle it privately away from the community.
* If you believe another member has broken a rule or the dispute really involves the
community email a Mod privately and we will deal with it. The Mods decision is final and
binding.
* NO plagiarism, If you spot something report it to a mod. We will investigate and if we are
suspicious report it to [info]stop_plagiarism A member found guilty of plagiarsm will be banned.
* No reposting of artwork in part or whole, without the permission of the creator
* Share resources. Places to find bases, brushes information etc.

ART CHALLENGE RULES Suspended as of 15/02/07

* Challenges will run from Saturday to Friday Midnight GMT!

* Mods will attempt to issue the subject of challenges up to three days in advance to allow
the search for bases etc.
* There will be three Winners, Three Runners Up, and a 'Best Effort' for an inexperienced
manipper. Awards will be in the form of a banner to be displayed on websites, journals etc.
* Initially Mods will issue challenges, judge and make banners. It is hoped if there are enough
members that others will volunteer, take a turn in judging and making banners and that there
will be suggestions from members about challenges.
* There is no limit on entries to one challenge. All entries to be clearly identified for the
challenge and warnings etc. in place.
* Artwork featuring the characters of Buffy/Angel not for a challenge is welcome at any time.




These rules will NEVER change. They are not open to discussion or negotiation. If you cannot abide by them, The Basement is not for you.

* There will be no posting, recommending or searches for Real Person Fiction (RPF) or Real
Person Slash. (RPS) What you do away from The Basement is up to you. But NOT here
EVER! We object in principle and practice.

* There will be no posting, recommending or searches for Kiddie Porn. (Sexual relations Het or
Slash under the age of 15.) What you do away from The Basement is up to you. But NOT here EVER! We object in principle and practice.
(Exceptions might be granted for AU stories where characters mature earlier. Contact
a Mod. for a decision.)

* There will be no posting, recommending or searches for beastiality. (Sex with a non
humanized animal.) If the charcter is magically transformed into an ainmal or both are
animals, that's fine. If in doubt, ask. What you do away from The Basement is up to you.
But NOT here EVER! We object in principle and practice.

* There will be no posting, in either art, video or fiction of Spike/Buffy, Buffy/Angel(us) or
Buffy/Xander. We just object. This includes threesomes. Buffy in other pairings or alone
in fiction, video and art is fine.



All characters and everything connected with Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel The Series are owned by people who are not us. There is no profit made from this site. Anything displayed here relates to the characters in the above shows and we do not wish to imply, suggest or infer anything about the sexual orientation or lifestyle of the fine actors who portray them. This is FICION and it is FUN.
