I DO NOT RECOMMEND BARTENDING SCHOOLS!
I managed a restaurant for two years and I've been bartending for 4 and as a boss and a co-worker, I've NEVER met or hired a good bartender from a school. And in the philadelphia area at least, you will be laughed at if you walk into a night club looking for work as a bartender and tell them your a recent bartending grad.
If you are serious about being a GOOD bartender, I highly recommend starting out in a restuarant first and let them know right away you want to learn to bartend. You'll actually learn things like customer service and wine knowledge and how to pour a pint and how to make a martini that will fit into the glasses your bar actually uses.
