Hello from North America

Hi all, I just wanted to stop by and say hello. =)

I'm a 16-year-old girl living in the U.S. who recently visited my family in India.  My sister (cousin sister) is getting married into Baroda in a day (!!), so it's good to see to see this community, especially since she's almost like an immediate sister to me.

Oh, and I miss Baroda very, very much.  I doubt I'll ever forget the first time I actually saw India out of the airport, with all the dizzying people, animals, and scooters zooming past me.  I never really saw Bombay, so my first sight of India--and my first impression of India in real life--was Baroda.  I went shopping there several times with my family members, who all live in nearby villages, as well, and I have some precious memories stored in my mind from then.  (Oh, and we refer it to the Vadodara name, mostly.  I was a bit embarrassed when I finally understood that they were both the same place, hehe.)

I'll keep visiting.  =)  Take care all.

Oh, really? My family is a lot closer to Bharuch than it is to Baroda. In fact, one of my other cousin sisters lives there with her family.

Thanks for the welcome.

Sure...

Her name is Seema Patel. I'm not sure where, exactly, she lives, though, so you may or may not know her.

Hmm... Well, my sister is a housewife, I know that. She lives with two daughters, one that was just born a few months ago and another that attends school somewhere. I'm not sure who else she lives with besides her in-laws, her husband's brother and his wife and kid (a little boy). I'm not even sure what their names are. After all, I just met them and only knew them for a busy twenty days when I was still trying to get to know the rest of my big family.

Oh--and maybe you know a Smita/Sweetie Patel? My brother (again, cousin brother) was recently engaged to her, and she lives in Bhauruch as well with her parents and sister, studying law.
