out of curiousity...
how many of you have restrooms w/ baby changing table stations?
are they in both the MENS and WOMENS rooms?

this was a topic that came up between a friend of mine and i - as my store is the only one in our area that actually has a diaper changing station in the womens room - however, none in the mens room.  her husband was upset by this - as new parents who like to enjoy Sbux now and again he wanted to change their baby's diaper but ended up putting a blanket on the floor and changing him there on the floor of the mens room.
i said he should have just used the womens room for the diaper change.  no big deal.

how does it roll in your store?

No station in either and it pisses me off since our store is only 3 years old and we could have easily put on in either or both.

They can't be more than $200. And if they are, then that's a really messed-up price for two slabs of Playskool-grade plastic, two straps, screws, and a sticker.

but for *some* managers, that's a lot of $ - especially when construction costs often eat up budget which eat up their PRECIOUS BONUS.

I work at a newer store and we have one in both... And yet one family decided to use our chaise lounge out front in the lobby. ;_;

We don't have one in either of restrooms, but we are in a downtown store and most of our customers don't have any babies/kids with them.

we only have one in our women's restroom and i've encouraged every male customer who wants to change a diaper to write a customer comment card about it.

My store has a changing table in both restrooms :-)

A former shift (and now an ASM at a nearby store) commented that her brand-new store doesn't have changing tables in either restroom. The shame Starbucks, the shame! Just put them in!

we dont have changing tables, but if we did have one only in womens and a man needed to change the baby he could have gone into the womens. its not like there are 3 stalls in it, just one. you dont have to be a women to enter it. i use them mens room all the time at other starbucks if someone is in the ladies.

My old store had one unisex bathroom with no changing table at the start. When myself, my manager, a fellow partner, and 2 customers all became pregnant at around the same time, we had one put in.

My current store has 2 bathrooms and no changing table. Another one in our area has one in the women's room. I didn't think to peek in to see if there was one in the men's. I'm always amazed at the number of stores (not necessarily Starbucks) that don't have them.

Both. To me it would be ridiculous to have a changing table in only one restroom. Besides the discrimination factor, we get tons of dads with their little kids in my store.
