I almost puked when I tried it.
Am I the only one who thinks the new cherry-lemon coffee cake is DISGUSTING?

My co-workers and I tried it yesterday and we all had to drink water because the nasty, puke-like after taste wouldn't go away.

Nope, you're not. I couldn't finish my sample piece.

I freaking hate lemon in cakes/muffins. Ugh.

I find that a little surprising because I hate cherries and when I tried it, I thought it was really good. I mean to make a cherry-hater like something with cherries in it...I thought that was pretty awesome. I'm sorry it made you sick.

I think it's alright. I'm not sold on the cake part entirely, but the filling is really good.

If it was the sample tray that they sent out, try an actual cake piece. The sample tray isn't as good as the real thing.

...I actually liked it. It was more of a doughnut with cherry filling than a coffee cake in my opinion. Too bad Canadians didn't get the RF blueberry CC, it blows the banana out of the water (imo) :D

I was trying to figure out what that spice was. Anise. Never used it in my baking before.

I think it would have tasted much better wtih almond flavoring instead.

I took a piece in passing while I was out on the floor and I almost spit it out into the trash can in front of customers it was so vile. Good thing I got most of it down. BLECH BLECH BLECH.

So yeah, everybody was like OMG you have to try this...It's fantastic, etc etc....
I took one bite and it took all I had in me to actually swallow the damn thing. Awful! Everyone at my store thinks I'm crazy for not liking it but it just does not compare to the other reduced fat offerings.

Slightly OT, but does anyone still get the reduced fat banana chocolate chip cake anymore. We have not had it in weeks and I'm sad :(

Well, I tried it from the partner sample box and I liked it, as did a few of my partners, but I have yet to try the actual coffee cake itself... Should do so tomorrow XD Or maybe wait until we get a fresh batch. It seemed good to me o_o
