I'm going to be working in a licensed store starting soon. What are the major differences between licensed and corporate stores? Besides the obvious of one being licensed and one being corporate. ;-)

internships & starbucks. [Feb. 19th, 2008|06:20 pm]

So, I have a chance at an internship that would take me across the country to Florida (I'm in CA). I wouldn't leave until next January, and it's a year long internship.

I would absolutely love to take this opportunity, but I don't necessarily want to quit working at Starbucks. I love my store and would want to resume working there once I returned home. I've thought about discussing this with my SM (obviously not until I know more details and it gets closer to when it's time to go, if i go) about this and just asking him if it's possible to take me off the schedule, but hold my position? Are there any rules against this? Is there another way I should go about this? Anyone else been through this before? Any help is much appreciated.
