"Back to Basics" says that when you get meat home from the grocery store, you should unwrap it, salt it , and then wrap it and put it in the fridge.

Has anyone ever done this?

Ina is on tv right now, if anyone is interested. I meant to post about this earlier today, but I was busy. My bad.

According to this, Ina is hosting Saturday Night Live November 22???? What?! That is crazy. The weird thing is that it says she is hosting with Beyonce as musical guest, but SNL is saying that Beyonce is going to the musical guest next week with Paul Rudd as host.

Does anyone know anything about this? That would be awesome if she hosted, but it just seems so....not Ina, you know?

What did everyone think of the new show? I assumed Ina was going to have TWO shows, Barefoot Contessa and Back to Basics, but it seems Food has it two shows molded into one.

I was surfing the site TheGoodCook.com, and I went to their search engines to look for Tyler Florence, and in the fill in sections of their search engine, they had this:

Hello all!

I'm a new fan of Ina's - I'm going to say within the past 4 months I've really enjoyed watching her show and trying out her recipes. My specialty is baking more than cooking, but as others have mentioned, part of her charm is how she makes all cooking seem easy for those with a general knowledge of the kitchen! I made her banana crunch muffins twice this past week - they disappear very very quickly! Her coconut cupcakes - in mini cupcake form! - were also a favorite with guests. I love reading wonderful things about one of my favorite tv hosts by her gracious fans, thanks so much and keep up the good work Ina! :)

Can someone please post the recipe for Ina's Chocolate Chunk cookies? Thanks in advance.

In the new Maxim magazine, there is a two page ad for Macy's towards the beginning of the mag, and Ina's friend TR is the the one in the ad :)
