Which characters (that are not the main character) are you favorites, and why?  Is there ever a character that is your favorite that has not been the main character?  Are there ever any characters you wish you could see more of?

Here are some of mine:
~ Nutcracker: Aunt Elizabeth
~ Princess and the Pauper: Erika's friend (the one who works with her in the dress shop) and Anneliese's Maid (the one who brings Erika breakfast and says, "Shall I draw your bath?")
~ 12 Dancing Princesses: Courtney (she loves to read!) and Fallon (for being so romantic)
~ Island Princess: Luciana (also loves to read, and her other interests are wonderful as well, and she is very kind)

Hi,

I visit this site about 4-5 times a year because there are some really nice photos from ASM's Toy Fair where Mattel's products are always shown. And to me this is one of the most trusted source for the upcoming Barbie movies - you can also see some cool photos of Barbie & The Three Musketeers and Barbie presents Thumbelina. Here's the link:

http://toyfair09.asmzine.com/gallery/mattel/mattel-barbie/

And if you want to save the photos (somehow I couldn't save them the regular way /right click - "Save picture as..."):

Hey everyone! First of all, i'm realizing that not much is going on in the barbiemovies livejournal area. I guess it's also becuase nothing special is happening. Alright, to the topic at hand. I just went on wikipedia a few minutes ago and discovered that a moive called barbie as cinderella is in productions. I don't really believe this due to old trends and such and also i can't find any information on it. Does anyone know anything about this. Also what do you think about it? As well, does anyone know anything more about barbie in a mermaid tale.

More merchandise from "Barbie and the three musketeers" has been cropping up on google.

Here's the prince (no name yet):

Now, this next one's quite interesting. Presumably this carriage is from the movie... yet it turns into a hot air balloon! I wonder what's going to happen there?

There's also a cuddly version of the cat from the trailer. Apparently her name's Miette:

Hi everyone =)
Fairytales was under the hands of [info]velle because I told her to keep the site going until I could get it up again. And I'm back with the site and it has a new layout featuring a screencap of Barbie and the Three Musketeers (that was screencapped by Scrita, thank you sweetie! ♥) And I also want to say that the gallery's gonna be up very soon =) I just need to arrange everything before I upload them =) Anyways, hope you guys like the layout =)

About two weeks ago, a friend of mine suggested I have a go at making a Major Mint fansite. Here it is:

www.majormint.piczo.com

(I hope it doesn't sound too arrogant of me to claim it's possibly the only Major Mint fansite in existence. I think it probably is.)

The Links page does seem a bit empty, so I hope to improve on that, but otherwise I'm relatively happy with it.

Tell me what you think. :)

I think it's fair to say that of the various Barbie incarnations, Elina the Fairy is a little more fleshed out than the others. She does have an extra two films under her belt and although you can extrapolate plenty of detail from any of the given Barbie characters (Ro, Annaliese, yadda-ya), Elina's pretty neat.

So in your opinion, what do you find to be the most character-defining moments for her?

For me the first one that comes to mind is a scene from Magic of the Rainbow. She can't control her magic and accidentally turns Starburst blue. In retaliation, Sunburst turns her orange. Elina is fed up and fights back. This is a rare display of emotion that can't be categorised as "happy" "sweet" "kind" or "patient". Given the overall plot, this makes sense, but I still find it to be a rather insightful moment. From memory it's one out of two instances where you see her angry - the other being when she enters Sunburst's room and is accused of saying things she hasn't (I'd be pretty cranky too).

There are others as well, but I'm sleepy and I want to leave the floor open to others. :)

As a shorter, lighter question:
If you could transform any character from Fairytopia, who would it be, what would you change them into, and why?

I totally want to see Nori as a fairy, simply because the land would be so different to everything she's ever known, right down to the royalty/guardian structure (that we know of, that is). She's clearly tenacious, resourceful and responds quickly to problems. I think it would be fascinating to see that type of fish out of water. and maybe I'm already sculpting a fic around the idea, shhh

I don't know if any of you fellow Comcast subscribers noticed, but there's a Barbie section on On Demand, under Kids, and has some of the movies :) Unfortunately they aren't free, I think it's about $2.99 each :/

Hallo! :]

Like most, I played with barbies as a child. About this time last year, a friend introduced me to the Barbie Movies. I was watching Fairytopia (again) last night and I wonder...

Are fanfics alright to post? I want to write one but I haven't found any Barbie fandom sites, anywhere. I'm familiar with the great taboos of the fandom world - so it won't have any uses of "a single tear rolled down her cheek," or last minute heroes that epitomise the mary sue. So - don't worry about that part. :]

I did check through the rules on the community page but I found no indication, so I wanted to check and ask. :]

My two girls ages 5 and 3 kept bugging me to rent this movie. So...I finally gave in. We netflixed it and watched it with some fresh popcorn. I must say the quality of these are much better than expected. The animation was very good. Needless to say, my girls were hooked. Now they want the Diamond Castle dolls and they keep singing the song from the movie. I also enjoyed it very much. I posted my Barbie and Diamond Castle review and a few others. Here is a full list of barbie movies.

Over at RandomHouse Kids there are a couple of books listed with the name Barbie in a Mermaid Tale. And if you look under the tags for the books, Movie or Television Tie-In are there, and the release dates are for January 12, 2010.

Just a thought...

Hi guys, I was looking through my favourites list and I stumbled upon some Barbie fansites.

And I noticed that Royal Pink hasn't been updated since November and neither has Sabina's old site Fairytales. And I'm not sure if Fairytales is actually gonna get updated as mayumicullen has closed her journal... which is a shame, I really liked Fairytales it was a good site.

So does anyone have or know of any active fansites? Or failing that, any that have been updated in the last 8 months?

*inserts shameless plug for own site www.freewebs.com/falling-flowers (fairytopia fansite)*

Whoever wrote the script for Thumbelina has seen Barbie & The Rockers: Out Of This World.

When the girl gets makes the lily pad grow & meets her friends above the flowers one of them says 'We wouldn't miss this for the world, for the universe.

This is also a line in Barbie & The Rockers.

I was looking for some things on Amazon, and I came across two new books for The Three Musketeers.
The first one has a summary. Here it is:

"Barbie stars as Corrine, who longs to join the Musketeers. When she leaves her country home for Paris, she meets three other girls who want to be Musketeers, too. But when they discover an evil plot to kidnap Prince Louis, they must all put their talents to the test to save him and the kingdom! Can Corrine and her friends save the prince in time, and will they all fulfill their dreams of becoming Musketeers? After all, with friendship on their side, it is one for all and all for one."

So, it sounds similar to the original story. And Barbie's name is definitely Corrine. No word on the other characters, though. Here's the actual book: http://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Three-Musketeers-Story-Book/dp/140524819X/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240759558&sr=8-4

And here's the second one: http://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Three-Musketeers-Sticker-Scene/dp/1405248343/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240759896&sr=8-7
