index list that you want more customization for or changes to it. On the main page, there is a block in the side bar that is titled "Artists", along with a list of artists on this page. This is a list of featured artists here, and under their name you can find samples of their work and a little info about them. If you like their work alot, you can request them to do your banner. We adore new artists. You do not need to fill out any forms or have your artwork judged by anyone to post your banners here, you just need to join.
However, if you would like to have your name and samples of your work posted in the sidebar as a featured artist then comment here. All featured artists will be posted in the featured artists section on this page as of 01/16/2006.
Post a freebie anytime! You don't need to have your freebie approved or be a featured artist to offer them. You can even offer them from your community. Please put all images behind a cut, and don't offer anything that you can't produce within a few days.
Below is a list of our featured artists. Click on their link to take a look at some of the work they have done. There's also a little info about them there. Take a look and see if you'd like for one of them to do work for you!

This is a new feature here at Banner Boutique. Every week we will have banner contests. I will supply a theme, and anyone who wishes can enter.
The contests will start on Mondays and will close on Fridays at midnight. The winners will be posted on Sundays after members vote over the weekend. If you would like to suggest a theme (all suggestions WILL be themes eventually), go HERE.
In this section you will find the winners and themes that have passed.
Winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will be awarded place buttons for their journals and a winner spot on our info page. The first place winner get 2 months of their account paid for by me! Even if you have a year paid for, I will add two months on! These can really add up! Have fun entering!
Contest Rules:
1. ALL banners must be original.
2. You can use any graphic you chose.
3. You can use any font or saying that you chose.
4. Contest starts as soon as the theme is posted.
5. Contest ends promptly at midnight on Fridays. Any post made after this time is disqualified.
6. Don't steal anyone's work!
7. If there is a large number of entries, the mod will pick 5 - 10 the be voted on by members.
8. Put all entries as a comment to the contest. Below, where the contests are updated, there will be a link to tell you where to post your entry. AFTER CONTEST #2, DO NOT CREATE A POST FOR YOUR BANNER ENTRY. PLEASE PLACE ALL ENTRIES ON THE POST NAMING THE CONTEST!!! The reason I am doing this is so that ALL entries are screened and I can keep up with all the entries for the contest. After 02/06/05 (Contest #3 begins), entries that are posted individually will not be entered in the contest.
How Voting is Done
Under 10 Banners
1. each member can only vote for 1 banner.
2. each vote counts as 1 point.
3. the winner gets largest number of points.
Over 10 Banners
1. each member can vote for up to 3 banners.
2. each first choice gets 3 points . if you only vote for 1 banner, then the vote counts as 3 points as well.
3. each second choice gets 2 points .
4. each third choice gets 1 point .
5. the winner gets that largest number of assigned points.
For example : if there are more than 10 banners, and you post: #5, #2, #12, then points are assigned accordingly.
