Paging Dr. Burke!  
Hi! I hope this isn't against any rules. I think it's ok. If it's not, my sincere apologies to you guys, but I am trying to get a Grey's rpg off the ground and we need a Burke (and every other male character). Here's the info:


[info]seattle_greyis a new Grey’s Anatomy rpg community. Beginning at the end of Season 1, this game will have all of the angst and ships with a little medicine thrown in. Every week, a new patient will arrive at the hospital with strange symptoms that will have to be diagnosed and treated (surgically, of course!).

All major characters (except for Izzie, Christina and Addison) are still open, and anyone 18 or older is welcome to join. Original characters are welcomed. If you would like to apply for a character, please comment with a post in character, or email it to roguedarla@gmail.com. Comment or email with any questions!

Unfortionatly it only looks perfect if you are using a Firefox browser. Sorry Explorer users...
I will look into it one more time, to see if I can correct it this time.

The official ABC website for Grey's Anatomy updated the frequently asked questions sections. Here's some of what they had to say about the show and our favorite characters.

Why did Bailey seem so angry when Meredith and Derek slept together, but no one seemed to care that much with Cristina and Burke? Or George and Callie? Because Meredith and Derek were the first. They broke the taboo. And because they kept it a secret. In addition, Burke and Cristina were honest and went to the Chief - Bailey doesn't like it but she can't do anything about it. Also, there is an issue with interns dating attendings. But Callie's not an attending - she's a resident. That's not a big deal. In response to your pleas, here are some answers to the questions y'all seem to ask most. They are in random order but 'hope it helps!

When is the first year of residency over?On our show, the first year of residency will be over sometime near the end of Season Three or the beginning of Season Four. Our show is odd in that an episode may air that is actually in real time only moments after the last episode ended. So much less than a year of time has passed on the show since the pilot aired. And I wanted to honor that.

How much of the back story of each character have you already determined? And, have you ever written yourself into a corner where you wish you had done something different with a character's back story? Back stories for characters have been planned from Day One. And we write ourselves into corners all the time. It's part of what I love about the show. Every season, we paint ourselves into crazy corners and then we sit down and figure out how to get ourselves out.

Are the character bios going to be updated soon?Yes. The bios will be updated before the premiere of Season Three.

In your eyes, how long do you see the show lasting?As long as they'll let me air it. Seriously. I love these characters. I love spending time with them. I can't imagine letting them go.

Why was Derek more concerned with operating on Burke than the Chief?Because the Chief's surgery was a relatively simple, straight-forward surgery that Derek knew he could perform. The outcome of Burke's surgery was a lot more difficult to predict.

FANFIC CONTEST....ENDS AUGUST 24TH  

Here's your chance to win the GA Season 2 DVD and autographed pictures of Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) and Isaiah Washington (Preston Burke)....

All you have to do is submit an entry to for the Season 3 fanfic contest. All of the details can be found at Bang's Anatomy.com but the basics are: 

1. All fics must focus on what will happen with the characters of Cristina and Burke in Season Three; all other GA characters that are included should be in supporting roles.

2. Fics must be submitted by midnight on August 24th

3. Winners will be announced on Thursday, September 14th (one week before the season premiere)

All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges headed by Ms. Margo Purcell, best friend of Sandra Oh and administrator of Sandra Oh’s official website SANDRAOH.com.
