3. Even if you are not stamped you can vote, so please do! Since many people join to be stamped and do not like to vote on others, this causes problems in everyone getting enough votes. Voting on someone only takes a few minutes and shouldn't be trouble for anyone to do. Failure to post these links will get you a "warning" to edit your post and put up the links. Belle: Belle is a young woman living in France and a lovely free-thinker who likes to read and go on adventures within her own imagination. She is not shy and is not afraid to speak her mind, especially in tight situations. She is very compassionate and takes care of those in need. Belle can also be stubborn, but she tries to protect people she truly loves.Belle is a shrewd nonconformist for her time in many ways. The most pronounced is her love of books and knowledge, which the townspeople find odd for a woman. Gaston says to her at one point, "It's not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting ideas and...thinking...". Belle also does not care about appearances, whether they pertain to herself or anyone else. This is highly ironic, considering she is seen as the most beautiful woman in her village. In the song Belle, a woman sings, "It's no wonder than her name means beauty. Her looks have got no parallel."
The Beast:the Beast is seen to be cold-hearted, selfish, and impatient. Throughout the film, the Beast changes and becomes gentler, but still jaded of how the world around him works. After Belle leaves him to return home to her father, his personality becomes sad and lonely, hoping for her return.
Supervising animator Glen Keane described The Beast as "a twenty-one-year-old guy who's insecure, wants to be loved, wants to love, but has this ugly exterior and has to overcome this."
Gaston-Gaston is a champion hunter who is arrogant, self-centered, brutal, conceited, supremely cruel, and masculine. He spends his time fighting, drinking, and spitting, things at which he is the town champion.
He believes that it is not appropriate for women to read books or think. Rather, he feels that women make better use of themselves as mere domestic slaves and instant son-makers. For that matter, he does not believe thinking is a good use of time for anyone, not even himself
Lumière- The kind-hearted but rebellious maître d' of the Beast's castle, he has been transformed into a candelabra. He has a habit of disobeying his master's strict rules, sometimes leading to tension between them, but the Beast often turns to him for advice.
Mrs. Potts - The castle maid, turned into a teapot.She is the mother to Chip.
Cogsworth - The castle Majordomo, transformed into a clock. While he is as good-natured as Lumiere, he is extremely loyal to the Beast so as to save himself and anyone else any trouble, often leading to friction between himself and Lumiere.
Chip - A teacup and Mrs. Potts' son.
LeFou - Gaston's bumbling sidekick
Maurice - Belle's inventor father
Featherduster aka Fifi - A featherduster and Lumiere's lover.
The Fangirls- Gaston's groupies.
Monsieur D'Arque - The owner of the Asylum for Loons, who is bribed by Gaston to arrest Maurice in order to blackmail Belle.
Angelique - The castle decorator, turned into a Christmas angel. She initially opposes preparing Christmas, as she fears the Beast will destroy her hard work. Is in the midquel 'Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas '
Forte - The castle composer and primary villain of the movie, turned into a Pipe Organ. As the Beast's private confidante, he proves to be more useful to his master with the spell, and will do anything to keep the spell from breaking. Is in the midquel 'Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas '
Fife - A piccolo and Forte's unwilling henchman. He does Forte's dirty work under the promise of musical solo, but soon realises his mistake and allies with the Beast to stop Forte. Is in the midquel 'Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas '
