About

Sometimes hormonal birth control just isn't for some people.

Have you had a bad experience while on birth control (pills, patch, shot, etc.)?
Have you faced any severe side-effects that were listed in the pamphlet, but "uncommon" to most birth control pill users?
Has your doctor told you "It's not The Pill, it's YOU!" yet you know your body better than that?

If you've experienced any life-altering side-effects while on birth control (pills, patch, shot, etc.) please join and share your story. Only if we speak up will we make a difference in the way these medications are marketed.

If you're a male whose girlfriend or wife has experienced side-effects, please join as well! This group is for ranting and raving about birth control, from both female and male perspectives.

It's NOT your fault if:

you've gained a decent amount of weight, and not increased your food intake
you've experienced severe mood swings, almost to a bi-polar level
you've experienced "abnormal vaginal bleeding" or a significant amount of blood loss
you've had a stroke
you've got newly developed fibroid tumors
you've got a newly developed lump in your breast
and countless other symptoms...

Please join and share your experience. When you join, please share the type/name of the birth control you were on, and any side-effects you experienced. We are here to share, and to find reassurance that we are not alone. We will listen to one another, unlike those who tell us that it's our problem, and the pill is not to blame. We know better.

This community is "friends-only" so please make sure you make all posts "friends only." I will edit any posts that are otherwise.

Anyone may join, first posts are moderated, and I will approve them as soon as possible, most of the time immediately.

We will not tolerate trolls or spammers. This is a serious issue and there are many who need a place to vent and know that they're not alone.
