| About: | Bad Dolly Deals is for leaving negative feedback in regards to bad experiences (sales) you have had with people from internet auction sites, forums, and/or private/business websites. A few guidelines to follow: POSTING IN THIS COMMUNITY MEANS THAT YOU AGREE TO THE RULES. IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THE RULES, DO NOT POST OR PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMMUNITY. THE MODERATORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BAN MEMBERS OR REFUSE MEMBERSHIP WITHOUT WARNING. MODERATORS ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DELETE A COMMENT IF IT HAS NO PURPOSE OTHER THAN TO CAUSE DRAMA. MODERATORS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME OF ANY BDD. All new posts (as of July 25, 2008) will be screened and moderated. I suggest that anyone that wants to post/comment here THINK about what you are saying before you say it. 1) Give as much information as possible, but do not use full names, addresses or tracking numbers that can lead to an address. (there have been exceptions to this, if in doubt ask one of the mods). You will be asked to remove such information, failure to do so will result in the post being deleted. 2)DO NOT DELETE COMMENTS MADE BY OTHERS OR BY YOU. If you have made a comment that needs to be edited please ask the moderator to delete it for you. If you notice a comment has been deleted, please notify the moderator. 3)Harrassment, stalking, threats etc are not allowed. You will be banned from this community for doing so. Repeated bullying on the board will also result in banning. 4)Do not ask the moderators to delete a post made about you. You are encouraged to respond to posts made about you. There are FOUR rules. Easy to follow, easy to understand. Some things to consider BEFORE POSTING HERE: DO NOT post here if the transaction just happened or if you haven’t given the item enough time to actually arrive/get paid for, etc. One week between payment and shipping is not enough time to warrant a BDD Post. DO NOT post here if you have not made any attempt to resolve the issue with the party you’re complaining about. THINK ABOUT posting here if you haven’t actually lost any money or merchandise. If you need to rant about a flake, do so in your journal, not here. THINK before you post a comment. If you have advice, great. But if you’re posting here for the sole purpose of being an ass and cause drama, then don’t bother. Comments like “Well I’m taking this person off my favorites now” and “What is your ____name so I can know who to avoid” have zero value and are only made to cause drama. Don’t post comments like this. DO NOT EVER POST PHOTOS OR LINKS TO PHOTOS OF ANYONE INVOLVED IN THE TRANSACTION. THINK ABOUT WHO YOU ARE GETTING INVOLVED WITH. If you have already had a bad experience with someone and you choose to enter into another transaction and get burned - this is YOUR OWN FAULT. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE YOU HAVE UNRESOLVED ISSUES WITH. We're a little resentful that we have to post any of this at all. Most of you are adults and should be behaving like one. DO NOT EVER harass anyone involved in a transaction here. EVER. Making false reports to eBay and flickr doesn’t make you a hero, it turns you into an even bigger asshat than the person who has the BDD. If either moderator gets evidence that a member of this community is harassing another, said member will be banned. DO NOT ask the moderators to delete an entry made about you. DO NOT EVER SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION about another member publicly. Ask their permission before you run off and tell their personal business to the entire community. If in doubt, email a moderator before sharing information. DO NOT POST PORNOGRAPHIC PHOTOS here. DO NOT EVER THREATEN anyone, including the moderators. You will be immediately banned and you will also be reported to LJ (and the police, if it is serious). IF YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED, do not come here under a different username to post. This is stalking and you will be reported to LJ. If you have been mentioned here, you are more than welcome to post your side of the story. In fact we encourage it. We would much rather hear from everyone involved. Please do your best to try to keep things civil. BDD is not for posting rants - there should actually be a transaction involved. Bad Etsy Deals are for that community (unless it is legitimately a BDD). If you are thinking about buying an item from someone you are not familiar with/suspicious of, feel free to post/ask if anyone has done business with them, and how it went. <--- If you do end up asking about someone, then doing business with them, please post an update, and let us know how the outcome went. When making an update, I suggest you make a new post, and link to the original. Not everyone will go back, and read old posts/comments, but will most likely see your new post.
