| Seller Lvielle |
[Jul. 5th, 2009|10:37 am] |
On June 3rd, I bought two items from seller lvielle from pullips forum Dolly Market. I asked her about when she would ship, but I've had no response and it's been a while now. She stopped replying to my PMs and I tried to send her an email via the email system on Dollymarket, but got no reply there either. Does anyone know how I might be able to contact her? Or if I should be worried about this? Her lack of communication worried me as the two items were a bit expensive, and I don't want to think the worst, but with nothing yet, it's hard not to :(
If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it! Even if it means getting a refund, I just want to know what's going on really :(
Update: I filed a paypal claim against her three days ago, but there has been no reply so far.
Does anyone have experience with this seller? |

| Small Update on karma_kannibal |
[Jun. 26th, 2009|04:49 pm] |
She said she's sending the one doll she does have and a doll head to one of the members who lives in the US to sell and spread the money out to some of the members to try and halve the money she owes, however she said she was sending them Monday (22nd of June) and we haven't heard anything from her since. She also said she'd be refunding someone on Friday (19th of June) of last week as she got paid but she never did refund even a single person.
I've emailed her loads of times and she only responds when she feels like it, and not directly to me. I finally sent one email saying I'm tired of her excuses of stalling people and that if we hear nothing (like a tracking number) today (26th of June) small claims will be filed against her. I'm am just annoyed with waiting and having excuses. I spent £160 for her to do this order, now because of the exchange rate the refund is worth £20 less. I just want my money back and to stop stressing over this. I do believe she's trying to stall and make us give up.
Police reports have been filed but I'm not sure if the police have contacted her or if they're trying to gather everything together before they do.
Edit 30/06: She emailed me a few days ago saying this:
I sent the dolls to gage already. I didn't get a tracking number because I used priority mail. They should have arrived already, but things do happen in the post office to allow for delays.
She could have paid extra for tracking, she probably didn't even ask about it. That is assuming the doll and head are even posted which unfortunately at this point I don't believe since they haven't arrived and should have by now. gage is already filing small claims against her and I will have to get in touch with the bank in order to get the money back.

| Paypal dispute resolution: any experiences? |
[Jun. 19th, 2009|02:19 pm] |
This is about an accessory for my Sailor Moon collection. I hope it will be OK to post here, since I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts about Paypal's dispute resolution.
Here's the short version of this. I'll put a lot under a cut since I don't wanna monopolize your FLs.
As some of you might know, I was a pretty avid Sailor Moon/anime doll collector back in the 90s. I had a lot of items. I've moved on in my collecting, so I'm now *slowly* auctioning off my collection piece by piece.
This is what happened when I tried to auction off my Sailor Moon Super S Rainbow Moon Calice.

| Hey_Mippy |
[Jun. 19th, 2009|09:18 am] |
Months ago (couldn't even tell you when) I bought a blythe dress off TIB member Hey_Mippy. A month later I pm'ed her to let her know the dress hadn't arrived. She said she hadn't posted it yet and would do so as soon as possible.
A couple of weeks later I asked her if she had posted it yet as it still hadn't arrived. She said she was sure she had but would double check. She never got back to me. I asked again a week or so later, same thing. Then I asked her for a refund as I really thought that it was possible she had never posted the dress (I'd never do that over a second hand doll dress normally but had a feeling she was dishonest).
I never heard back from her and didn't bother over it until the same dress was listed by her on Plastic Paradise at the end of May. Contacted her immediately. She claimed she thought she had given me a refund but she had not. I asked her to please send the dress. She said she would do so at the end of the week.
I contacted her again two days ago and she responded that she had posted it Monday (15th of June) and that there had been a tube strike and that she can't be held responsible for the post or transport problems.
Really poor customer service or downright dishonesty???? |

| Ebay seller stella_luca |
[Jun. 17th, 2009|10:21 pm] |
I won Prima dolly Saffy stock early morning on June 3 and paid very quickly after. Ebay seller stella_luca listed US priority shipping. After a week went by I sent a message to her through ebay to inquire on the status of my order and find out when it shipped since priority shipping should only take 2-3 days. She never responded. I have since sent her 3 messages through ebay and then opened a paypal claim. She had positive feedback on ebay but hadn't sold in awhile. She now has one negative but the comment is in spanish so I don't know what is says. Since she's not responding to anything I have escalated the claim so paypal can get involved now. I don't recommend buying from this seller! I will update with the outcome.
EDIT TO ADD - Seller never contacted Paypal or me. I was awarded a full refund from paypal. |

| snowgirlMAC backed out of Bythe sale without contact or explaination |
[Jun. 15th, 2009|05:47 pm] |
On May 31st, snowgirlMAC contacted me to see if I would consider adopting out a Blythe doll that I had customized (Poe) that she had seen on my photostream. She offered me a considerable dollar amount and said "We would love to have her just as she is." Since I had not ever sold any girl, let alone a custom before, I flickrmailed another customizer just to make sure I was handling everything the right way. I offered to send more photos of Poe, so snowgirlMAC could see her in full detail, I told her she wasn't perfect but she was a good quality custom doll. snowgirlMAC said she didn't need anymore pictures she wanted Poe just the way she was. She did flickrmail me and ask about changing eyechips, which I did happily. I posted photos once they were done so she could see the new colors, etc. She was hoping to receive the doll by Wednesday, June 10th. So, on Monday, June 8th, at snowgirlMAC's request, I sent Poe out priority mail with signature confirmation and flickrmailed her the tracking number. On Tuesday, June 9th (while the doll was still in transit), I received an email from paypal that she had opened a claim saying she'd never received the doll. I immediately fm'd her to find out what was wrong since I knew she wasn't expecting the doll until 6/10, but no response. I sent her a total of 3 emails and 4 fm's, but she never responded. She shut me out of her Flickr account (friends only), and she deleted all her comments and faves from my photostream. I sent paypal a tracking number, but snowgirlMAC refused the package, so Paypal refunded her money in full. I told her if she had a change of circumstances, I understood, I just wanted to know what was going on. I still haven't heard anything from her. I have heard that she's posted something on her Flickr account stating the reason she changed her mind was because I claimed the doll was OOAK and I had posted a picture of another doll that I customized that was too similar for her taste. However, I made no claims regarding the OOAK status of the doll, as a matter of fact that was never even discussed. I will say, the doll she has the problem with (Bessie), while similar in style, is a very different doll in attitude. Regardless, in my opinion all custom dolls are OOAK, since they are made with a human hand. Many customizers will say that even if they wanted to copy one of their previous girls, they can't, because each one is unique. And at the same time, most customizer's work is very recognizable, because they have a style or "hand" that carries through with each doll they do. That's just the nature of the art.
Regardless of snowgirlMAC's expectation regarding how "one of a kind" Poe is, she still shouldn't have completely cut off contact and treated me the way she did. |

| Queenie BDD |
[Jun. 13th, 2009|01:43 pm] |
I'm posting this on behalf of michellesart on TIB:
"I want to begin by saying that I know Queenie is very well-respected in the dolly community and I know she is a lovely person. I have nothing negative to say about her, I am only stating the facts of my bad dolly deal. On March 24, 2009 I saw a TIB forum post by Queenie that she was looking to re-home her Susie Sad Eyes. I pm'd her and Susie was still available so I paid her on March 24th. I paid $25 total, $15 for Susie and $10 to ship. I was told it would take about 5 days to get to me as I am in the U.S. and she is not. I emailed Queenie on April 10th and told her I'd not received Susie. At that time it has been 17 days. She responded immediately and was very nice and offered to check with her post office. I contacted her again on April 18th as Susie still hadn't arrived. She responded immediately again and this time offered a full refund if the doll didn't arrive soon. I emailed her again on April 28th and she responded that her post office said she couldn't file a lost mail form until it had been six weeks. I emailed her again on May 13th and she immediately responded that she would refund my money but she didn't want to hit the refund button because that would pay me with an e-check. So she asked for my Paypal address so she could pay me directly. I responded on the same day with my Paypal email address and I told her that an e-check was fine, just go ahead and hit the refund button. No payment, so I emailed her again on May 14th with my Paypal email address. Still no payment or respone so on May 15th I did a payment request through Paypal to make things easy for her. Still no response so I filed a Paypal dispute on May 17th not realizing that you can't get money back after 45 days. After realizing that I couldn't get my money back through Paypal I edited my payment request and send a payment reminder through Paypal requesting only $12.50 to split the cost of the doll so neither one of us would have to lose out on the entire amount of the transaction. Still no response and no refund. I've waited this long to post hoping that she would eventually respond, but that has not happened. I'm sure she mailed the doll and the doll simply got lost. That is why I offered to accept $12.50 so neither one of us would have to lose out entirely. But I have had no response to my emails since May 13th. This is my only bad dolly deal in over 5 years of doll collecting. I'm sad not only about the transaction but also that I missed out on the chance to have another doll friend as I usually end up keeping in contact with people I've bought from and sold to."

| Problems with karma_kannibal - Kallen M - karma kannibal |
[May. 30th, 2009|06:47 pm] |
This post will be long, I will lj-cut it mid-way
On 11-13-2008, karma_kannibal offered to host a Group Order on Den of Angels for Minimee heads (customized BJD heads from dimdoll.com) of the characters of Balthier and Fran from Final Fantasy XII.
I wasn't a part of the order at this time, I only noticed the thread around February and decided to join. A lot of things happened with switching and changing of GO leaders and people getting frustrated and dropping. The Fran order was then given to another member.
I had decided I wanted both heads and Fran was going to be ordered first. I will admit now, before this is ever used against me, I asked the person who was running the Fran order if there was some way to pay by the end of April and if not I'd happily bow out and give my slot to someone else. She kindly offered to pay on my behalf and I would send my money then.
However she ended up giving the order back to karma_kannibal, it was around the end of March by this time and I told karma_kannibal the details and again offered to bow out of the order if it was a problem, but she said it was fine and she could wait.
So on April 25th I was the last person to send the payment, I sent $224.90 for both heads including paypal fees. There were 13 people in the order excluding herself, some had purchased both heads (like myself). ( This is where it all goes downhill )
EDIT: Long story short, she spent $1700 of money that wasn't hers on something else, and is making up lies to "convince" us she's refunding it.
Also, the mods brought back the deleted posts, I don't know why they felt to hide them in the first place, it's very confusing when they keep removing and re-adding posts.
EDIT2 13/06: I realized I made this Friends Only because of the bug LJ is having, I've made it public now.
EDIT3 13/06: She's now claiming she's received a speeding ticket and it will delay refunds. |

| Bad trade with joshdoll/tonnerlover@aol.com |
[May. 8th, 2009|04:13 pm] |
first post here.. I thought it would never happen to me :<
I made a trade via the junkyspot chatroom back at the beginning of this year with Josh, aka joshdoll or tonnerlover@aol.com.. the trade was an iplehouse lion bjd for an alice cherry blossom bjd, a hujoo wing and $350us... he threw in an ashton drake ashleigh baby doll as a gift, cos he doesn't like baby dolls
Well, my alice arrived damaged... turns out she was not insured, although he claimed she was. the first half of the payment (via money order, cos he doesn't have paypal) was also damaged and had to be sent back to him.....
Stupid me sent off my lion as well as a notdoll lab alatheia he was going to buy BEFORE my alice arrived.. he had traded with friends of mine before and everything had been fine.
Since he received my dolls I ahve had almost no communication.. he emailed me once to say it was going to take a while to get a replacement money order.. now he won't even reply to my emails. Its been three months. the above names are both usernames on different forums for the same person
I am out over a thousand dollars worth of bjds and I have a broken girl and a cute plastic doll in return.. the ashleigh was NOT in good condition, and is worth nothing.. .the broken alice, I MIGHT get $100 for, if someone took pity on her and myself.
Josh collects BJD's and tonner dolls, claiming to have over 200 of each... I highly recommend you tell him to keep them if you are approached. I know he is trying to offload a sharmin bjd last time anyone heard from him
HOpe this saves someone else the heartache.
Seek peace

If you are owed money or merchandise from Michele/missblythe40/blytheplanet/thedollygarage please post in the comments here.
The other BDD has three pages of comments and I'm afraid that people who have outstanding items have been kind of lost in the comments.

| PLEASE DELETE, PROBLEM SOLVED |
[Apr. 14th, 2009|09:49 pm] |
As promised, I'm asking whoever has the almighty power over this LJ, to delete this thread. I understand all of this was a big misunderstanding, and I want to offer a public apology to stitches for jumping into conclussions so quickly. I do hope you also understand my concern for not having news from you for a while and suddenly discover one flaw after another on my doll, As I said before, I do understand most of them can be factory flaws and you may have not noticed them.
So, to whoever runs the place, please, delete this.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hello! This is only a half BDD, but still, be careful with her. Here's what happened:
On March 16th, I bought a pullip Aquel from her. Everything went smoothly: she only had one pic, I was aware shipping costs could be high, I had no problems with buying her as I was confident that the doll was in good condition. I asked if she would down the price a bit, because of the shipping, she said no, I accepted it. I assumed the doll was in mint condition.
I received it on March 30th, and really did not have time to check her beyond the wig, which had a few flaws, but again, assumed it was just because of the journey.
A few days ago, I noticed one of her eyes seemed a bit up. Also, her left arm seemed odd. I checked again, and it wasn't hers! It doesn't match, and I'm sure it's a chill or carol's. Then, the wig came out strangely easily, and so the screws. I opened the eyemech and it was lacking a spring! That's why it had troubles! It was missing a piece!
So, yeah, I got an Aquel, but I was never told of this minor flaws. Also, it botheres me that the seller did not want to lower the price, even if she knew the doll was far from perfect. She sold her at mint price, even if she knew she wasn't.
So, please, if you're making business with this person, take in mind she might not sell what you're asking for. Ask pics and pics from her, make sure you'll get what you're paying for!
UPDATE! Here's the pic. The defective eye is the one covered by Rovam's patch. Also, as you see, you can't see the arms.

| Ebay buyer moma910: Trying to solve it together |
[Apr. 14th, 2009|02:50 am] |
I sold a custom blythe doll to USA buyer Alisa W. or moma910 in Ebay. I recieved the payment and I sent the doll. When the buyer received it she contacted me and told me that the doll had a stain under her chin and her head wobbled and that she wanted her money back.
The doll was perfect when I sent her. No stains and her head was tight. That's why I didn't mention anything in the dolls description. So I told her I wouldn't accept the doll if she is not in the same condition when I sent her. The doll was ok and was protected very well: bubble plastic, her box, takara brown box and one more box I bought at the post office. There was no way that the doll was damaged in the transit.
Moma910 opened a dispute and PayPal obligated me to refund the money. There is no protection for the seller in Spain so Moma910 had to send me the doll and would get her money back. I didn't like this solution but I couldn't do anything about it.
What a surprise, when I receive her parcel... THERE WAS NO DOLL IN THE BOX!!!! That's was what I got....

So Alisa W. or Moma910 actually has the doll and her money back. I reported the police this fraud but the problem is that she is in USA and I'm in Spain. I can't get my money or my doll back but I hope I can avoid that other seller have the same problem.
EDIT: NOW WE ARE TRYING TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM TOGETHER. |

| bad deal toysonline2002 |
[Apr. 12th, 2009|03:41 am] |
Preordered set of 3 Blythe Prima Dolly from toysonline2002 on ebay on February 11, 2009 (Aubrey, Heather Sky, Willow). Set was due for release March 27.
Seller's auction stated item to arrive within 30 days of auction end which was a lie.
Seller never acknowledged receiving my payment, no communication.
I began seeing other sellers already starting to ship out, I messaged them on March 26 to verify if the set would be shipped to me. I was told that the stock would arrive at the end of the month and they would ship then. So I waited.
On April 6 by their feedback I could see a person had received this set. I wrote them to ask if the item had been sent and for the tracking number. I was then told the stock would arrive from Japan in 2 weeks.
At first I was going to ride it out and wait. Then on TIB I began reading multiple people being told different things by this same seller. Different times for arrival, lies about what they received, see it here starting on page 17 going through 19 CLICK LINK The words [mod edit] are cutting out the name "toysonline2002". Then also the past accounts of this seller here on Bad Dolly Deals. Immediately I asked for a refund.
I do not recommend toysonline2002. Trusting them I missed my opportunity to purchase this set a a reasonable price from a trustworthy seller. I will not deal with this person again. Unreliable & they will waste months of your time, lie to you. |

[Apr. 9th, 2009|03:04 pm] |
I brought a veronica lace on TIB back in Mar 23 and she is ship from UK, However when she arrived she smell like cigarettes smoke all over (the body and the hair everywhere). When she post FS on TIB she did not say that she is a smoker and the doll hair was been cut before. How can't she smell that!!!!!??? i can smell when she right out of the box. i dont really mind the the hair was cut short like 1 inc. i email her back again and she agree to refund but not agree pay for the return shipping and not agree for $30 partial refunds and she find it offensive and really rather childish that i call her a smoke, and now she will not even read any more mails from me.SO PLS BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER !!!!
P/S-she is selling again on TIB. |

| Bad seller… |
[Apr. 8th, 2009|08:03 pm] |
Hi !
I bought a doll (named Trolly) to blytheplanet on February, 11th. 2 days later she told me the doll was on the way. When I asked her if shipping costs are not too expensive she answered me 'no' and there is no problem with that.
Her mail about that : "i have sent all over the world..i send them airmail and never had a problem..its around 38.00 ..and since i was offering free shipping to the usa and Canada..i will cover some of it..you could contribute 20.00 and will contribute the rest.it would only be fair..as i did offer the free for North America!!!...i have sent to spain..germany..italy..brazil..Hong Kong..ect..I also have a business account with Canada Post..so my items do not get lost!! hugs, michele"
but I didn't ask her if there was a tracking number… I'm really STUPID !
2 weeks (or 2 weeks 1/2 later. On february, 28th, I think) I send her a mail because I have no news about my doll. She said "it's normal, she will be there soon… blablabla" (I kept the flirck mail just in case) 3 days later (on monday, I think. March, 3th), she sent me a mail and told me the doll came back at her home in Canada… by a curious chance ! weird !… and she wanted to send her again to me. She asked me nothing about other shipping costs… double weird !!! Well, since March, 3th, I'm waiting for my doll !!! I'm a NUTS !!! I opened a claim through paypal and blytheplanet didn't answer nothing. Paypal closed the claim yesterday and gave me reason but the seller (blytheplanet) hasn't got money on her paypal… so I can't have a refund for now… no doll… no refund… really, I don't know what I can do… blytheplanet told me I have never asked EMS or a tracking but this is really too easy ! She wants to find her doll before refunding me but I'm sure she didn't send me the doll… never !! Where is she ?
That's all… I'm disgusted…
(Sorry for my bad english… hope it's clear… |

| Anyone buy from iloveblythe on ebay? |
[Apr. 3rd, 2009|03:32 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | contemplative | ] | Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone has bought from iloveblythe on ebay. I am interested in pre-ordering Sunshine Holiday from this seller.
This would be my first pre-order so I'm not sure how it all works, but I'd like to commit to buy this doll soon before the price goes up. The seller is allowing me to the 17th to settle payment which I thought was cool. The doll will not be released until the 24th. I wonder, does that mean it will be another week until they receive the doll and are able to send it to me? What do you guys think, is this a good idea? It just that I know there is a time limit on when you can file complaints if needed, isnt it 30 days within time of purchase or something? I'm just afraid that if I needed to file a complaint for any reason that I wouldnt be able to.
Any help would be appreciated :) Thank you!

| Feedback for Toysonline2002 and rei_jinn on ebay? |
[Apr. 1st, 2009|10:46 pm] |
Hi everyone :) I am considering buying a friendlyfreckles blythe from either of those two ebay sellers (toysonline2002, and rei_jinn). Simply put their prices are the lowest D:
I did a quick BDD search and I saw that toysonline has some negative feedback for lack of communication, and shipping weirdness so I thought I'd see if there has been any more bad mojo as of late?
Also has anyone purchased from rei_jinn? They have a TON of feedback and ship with tracking but I am still wary of many ebay sellers :(
There is also an option of jr_toys_house and I've heard mixed things about them but some of the bad reviews have been in the past so I am hoping their latest feedback is all good :D I just hate getting sellers that will not communicate >_>
Either way I will be putting her on CC via paypal in case anything goes wrong :/
Thanks in advance everyone. (Mods I hope I tagged that correctly? Do I include my name if it's not a BDD?) |

| carolmarques on TIB -- resolved |
[Mar. 31st, 2009|08:46 am] |
Hi all,
I just wanted to post these images to bring this to everyone's attention. Whenever you decide to sell a doll, please, PLEASE take the time to package her properly before shipping... ESPECIALLY if you are shipping internationally. The extra time you take to do this will make a WORLD of a difference and avoid situations like mine altogether.

for more: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hi_sonia/sets/72157616133384954/
This matter has already been resolved with the seller. I've gotten a full refund for the cost of the doll and am still waiting for my refund for the cost of the shipping. I am still disappointed that things turned out to be this way, but I do hope that this encourages all sellers to take the time to package and care for dolls [of such high value] properly.
Thank you all for your time. |
