Jane Carter, Arrested again!

Nick Carter's mama was arrested this morning, allegedly over a really nasty divorce hearing.

Here's how it went down. Jane Carter, aka Jane Holcomb, aka Jane Schnek, was divorced from a guy named John Holcomb. There are still some legal odds and ends to deal with, including an allegation that she trashed the house they once shared.

John filed legal papers forcing Jane into court, but she didn't appear. So the Florida judge wants her butt in jail for not appearing and he's ordered a bench warrant. She was picked up today in Sumter County at a cemetery where the construction company she works for was doing a project. Perfect.

It ain't Donna Reed, folks.

SOURCE! sorry, forgot it the first time.

Merch question

I'm aware merch sales are not allowed, but I hope questions are.

Like many older fans I'm "stuck" with merchandise from my early years as a fan and am trying to get rid of them. I know they're not going for much on ebay, if at all, but I got some stuff I don't know if they can be considered rare or not, or if people would be interested in them. Some of them are Nick's Reach For a Book original vhs (1991), the Fair performance when he was around 12 and Griswald The Turkey (1990), all three of them are in the packaging they were sold in. A Backstreet Project shirt/hat/promo folder, House of Carters black shirt...

Would any of these be of interest to fans nowdays? I'm out of the loop when it comes to that and don't know what to do.

And where could I post to reach fans if I were to sell them? I want them in the hands of people who will care for it as much as I once did.

Hello! I just found this community and I must say I am very very excited to be seeing BSB at my hometown of Ottawa on August 4th! It's hard to believe how long it has been since I first saw them live.

So I noticed in the community rules it says no selling BSB merch - I am wondering if you know of any lj communities where I would be able to sell a huge box of my old BSB stuff. I really don't like selling on ebay and would rather find somewhere on lj to give a good deal to a fan like myself. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Hey all you British Columbians out there in LJ-land, does anyone know the presale code for the GM Place show? Is there even a presale code? (Tickets go on sale this Friday.)

I don't listen to The Beat or Crave95 so I have no idea if they're promoting it, although the concert is listed on the Crave website.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: The presale code is "unbreakable".

Okay so finally the Regina (Aug. 30) date is listed on the website. It's on Ticketmaster too, but they're not on sale yet.

So I have choices to make. First, do I join the fanclub just for the satisfaction of knowing when the tickets actually go on sale? How good are the pre-sale tickets?

Two, do I cough up what sounds like an obscene amount of money for a VIP ticket package? What really is a VIP ticket package? Has anyone here gotten one? I'm willing to pay if it's awesome but I don't really know what I'm getting myself into here.

Edit: I caved and joined the fanclub. Presale is tomorrow at 8am for all western Canadian dates and I must say, the system they use is pretty weird. You don't even know what seats you're buying when you buy them. I've also decided I'm doing the VIP thing. It's way overpriced, and some people have had bad experiences, but this may be a once in a lifetime thing for me and I'm gonna take the risk.. Now I just need to hope I get one. Wish me luck.

Anyone going to the Regina show say hi. Any Winnipeggers wanna join up on our road trip and pitch in for gas say hi too.

Can anyone tell me how many seats are to a table and how far away from the stage they are? I'll definitely be going the table route. I'm hoping to get a ticket tomorrow since it's my birthday present, and I know I'll be going by myself. How many of you are going to the ATL show?

Picture Worth A Thousand Words

Just a little drabble I wrote for a challenge on a website where I post stories. Let me know what you think! ♥

"Nick! C'mon, the interlude's almost over!" Kevin barked as the youngest band member loitered backstage; microphone in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. I watched Kevin roll his eyes and reach over to grab the collar of Nick's vintage t-shirt, much to Nick's dismay. He was probably daydreaming about beating Brian's high score on Play Station 2. As much as you would like to think there are better things to daydream about when you're performing for thousands of fans... Nick sometimes has the attention span of a gnat and therefore thinks about video games inbetween songs.

"Kev! What the Hell?!" Nick yelped as he stumbled backward, nearly dropping the expensive microphone. His shirt was released once he followed the pace of everyone else. He huffed under his breath and I could hear his favorite curse words follow, though it went ignored. He glanced at me with a look of contempt and I shrugged my shoulders. You went by Kevin's word or face some consequences. Just like a child with his father.

"Get your head out of the clouds. It's time to go back onstage," Kevin muttered as they followed AJ, Brian and Howie. I grabbed my camera and quietly moved into the front rows, blending with the crowd quite nicely as I began snapping photos of the famous and talented quintet. Girls screamed as their heros came into view and the men merely smiled and waved. You could see they loved their job and were born to do it.

Within moments Nick had forgotten Kevin's rough handling and began singing to the fans along with his bandmates. I easily went through the crowd, taking pictures that were more than just perfect. It was like the simple motions showed how much the men cared about each other. The smiles, the elbow nudges, wrapping an arm around the shoulders and the playful pushes. It seemed to speak more than words and it was beautiful. I guess I am a little biased since I am the Backstreet Boys tour photographer and the little sister they never had, but it's how I see it. Besides, they hired me for my photographic talents and I see art in things that others can't.

I turned around and took several photos of the fans, who would randomly group together and smile. They were having the time of their lives and it was all because of five men. Five men who loved to sing for all who would listen. Some of the fans recognized me and waved. I smiled and waved back before turning my attention towards the stage. The tone had settled down a bit as a grand piano rose from below the stage. I quickly took some photos as Kevin appeared on the bench, lightly playing a tune no one could really grasp. Kevin was always tinkering with little songs on his keyboard while on the busses and random air flights. The arena grew quiet as they listened to the oldest bandmember play the delicate song.

Brian, Howie and AJ took stools and sat around the piano, merely listening and taking a few sips of water. Nick, however, apparently decided that he would rather sit next to the man who was basically the father he never had. Without thought, he plopped down onto the bench next to Kevin, causing the man to raise an eyebrow while the others chuckled. Nick shrugged his shoulders and leaned against Kevin for a moment, as if to gather strength from the rock of the group and almost a form of an apology for his sluggish attitude backstage. A chorus of admiration filtered through the crowd as Nick placed his head against Kevin's shoulder. Even the other men looked at the bonding moment and chuckled. It was the perfect moment. I wasted no time and quickly took a picture.

Kevin saw the flash and gave me a look I immediately understood.

I want a copy of that.

Smiling softly, I nod and he smiles in return as Nick continued to stay in that position for a moment before the introduction to Incomplete began to play.

I hope this doesn't get deleted, cause I made a similar post a couple days ago and it got deleted. Not sure why, I don't think I was breaking any rules? Just asked what kinda seats people got thru the american express presale

Anyways. I went online today to see if I could find better seats for their show in Toronto thru the publuc onsale. I searched for 2 tix the SECOND they went on sale, and all that was coming up was the 400 section. I've searched for a good 15 mins, just 400s and lawns came up. I'm a little shocked to be honest. Even with the American Express presale, I was lucky to find seats in the 200 section, as the majority of tix available were 300s and 400s

I'm just a little, confused! I'm kinda shocked this show is selling out so quick. Normally you can find seats in the 100 or 200 section thru public onsale. Where did they all go? Since they wernt available during the amex presale, or thru the public onsale.

As some of you may or may not know, our father was diagnosed with cancer in his lungs and brain at the end of March. In April he went through three weeks of radiation treatment to his brain. Unfortunately the results were very disappointing. The cancer and tumors in his brain have increased. Throughout this time my father has been very brave and positive with everything. He is not giving up and has opted for more radiation treatment to his brain, which is the maximum amount that the brain can tolerate before doing more damage. After he finishes the radiation treatment he has also decided to proceed with the chemotherapy treatment for the cancer in his lungs. There is no cure for his cancer, but hopefully the treatments will contain the cancer from spreading more, which will prolong his life with us. At this time he is physically very weak from the treatments. We believe in miracles and the power of God and I am asking you to pray with me and my family for a miracle for my father, Hoke. God hears us when two or more come together in his name. Thank you in advance for your prayers, love and concern.

Sincerely,
Howie & Pollyanna Dorough

source: howie's myspace
