AboutAs of December 16th 2008, there is a tagging system but you do not need to worry about it. It is still just for the mod's convenience.
As of November 8th 2008, membership and entries are moderated. That is only so that the mod can keep better track of who joins. Anyone is welcome to join and make claims. Everything will get through.
Rules and Regulations:
1. Each member gets 3 in each category.
2. Once something/someone has been claimed, that means it is taken. Don't hound other users to get a claim that you want.
3. Please check the claims lists before posting. Any double claim posts will be ignored.
4. Post your claims in alphabetical order, preferably under an lj cut.
5. Claims posted in comments will be ignored. Please post all claims in the community.
6. If you switch journals and would like to keep your claims, please post your announcements so all changes can be made. It would also be nice if you announced when you rename your journal, even though all links change on their own.
7. You must remain a member of the community. If you leave, your claims will be deleted and up for grabs.
8. Claiming Community Advertisements ONLY. Any other community advertisements will be deleted.
Guidelines for claims:
1. Post a new entry each time you add claims.
2. Post a new entry each time you edit claims, stating the category, the claim you’re giving up, and the claim you want instead.
3. Don’t claim a whole category of things if things that are part of it have already been claimed. (E.g. do not claim fast-food if burgers are already taken).
4. Do not claim for the Misc. section things that would fit in other sections, but you have already claimed three things in there.
5. Do not claim for the Misc. section things that would fit in other sections, but are already taken in there.
Other things to keep in mind:
1. Do not reply to your own comment or entry if you have a question for the mod. Reply to one of the mod’s comments at your entry or send a message to the mod (there is a link in the list for this).
2. It is common courtesy to let the mod know you got the message from her, saying your claims have been approved. A ‘kthxbai’ is enough.
3. If you add/edit claims, you’re welcome (but not required) to also edit your original post, so you can link to it from your profile.
4. It would be nice if you linked back to the community in some way, so the word is spread. But, again, you don’t have to.
Categories in which you can make claims:
A - C: actors, actresses, animals, anime, athletes, body parts, books, candy, cars, cartoons, characters, clothes & accessories.
F - Q: food & drinks, games: card & board & video, het couples, lj users, manga, movies, musicians, quotes.
S - Y: slash couples, songs, tv shows, videos, words, yaoi couples, xtra (misc.)
*NOTE: All of the above are subject to change.
