Those are really lovely and very surreal. I love the use of shadows- it adds dimension and makes them seem only inches away from me.

Beautiful pictures. I especially like the little boy with the mole and the ?sake. He looks so mature and old, as if he had Lived. Thank you for posting them!!!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me in the series "Old masters", from who's paintings were inspired the first, third and fifth pictures.
The second is Francois Boucher's "Marquise de Pompadour", and the fourth one is Da Vinci's "Lady with Ermine".
On Elsterman's site you also have the "Girl with a pearl earring".
