For those of you fans that don't already know, just before Christmas, Bettie (who is 84 years old now) was admitted to a hospital, suffering from a combination of pneumonia and a kidney infection. Bettie has improved slightly but is still unable to speak. In mid-January, she was moved to a nursing home where she is still receiving a lot of care. Let's all put her in our
thoughts and prayers.
If you would like to send her well-wishes, cards may be sent to the following address and they will be forwarded along to her.

The Sex Workers' Art Show will be in Atlanta February 1st at Eyedrum. Featuring Dirty Martini, World Famous *BOB*, Keva I. Lee, Lorelei Lee, Chris Kraus, Erin Markey, Annie Oakley, Krylon Superstar, Tre Vasquez and Trina.
The show is an eye-popping evening of visual and performance art created by people who work in the sex industry to dispel the myth that they are anything short of artists, innovators and geniuses. The wildly successful cabaret-style show brings audiences a blend of spoken word, music, burlesque and multimedia performance art. Intelligent and hot, disturbing and hilarious, the performances offer a wide range of perspectives on sex work, from celebration of prostitutes' rights and sex-positivity to views from darker sides of the industry.
The show includes people from all areas of the sex industry: strippers, prostitutes, dommes, film stars, phone sex operators, internet models, etc. It smashes traditional stereotypes and moves beyond "positive" and "negative" into a fuller articulation of the complicated ways sex workers experience their jobs and their lives. The Sex Workers' Art Show entertains arouses, and amazes while simultaneously offering scating and insightful commentary on notions of class, race, gender, labor and sexuality. |

benefit for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk. The doors are $10 at
10pm, show 10:30p, in the lobby at 7 Stages.
Kicking off the night is Ole Sanchez followed by The Seraphix (who are
helping us out again). Then, headling are your favourite
femme fatales, the goregeous gals of BCB & V!!!
There will be auctions throughout the night and chances to donate to
the cause via our enchanting donations gals! Burlesque!

Veronica Lashe (Pin-Up Vixen's Miss March 2007) and Talloolah Love (1st Runner Up for the Horse Power at the Park Pin-up Contest) just got home from showcasing in Las Vegas at Miss Exotic World and now we’re bring the girls up along with our very special guest, all the way from Hollywood, California, Miss Renea’le Roux, Miss Viva Las Vegas 2006 and fresh off her performance competing for Best Debut at Miss Exotic World !
The entire weekend is $35.00!

First, thank-you for helping Big City get our classic image of
burlesque out there. We greatly appreciate it.
Now for the request, several of us have a few characters that we
portray. It is important to keep each one separate from the other. I
understand that it is easier to label one gal as her main character,
but it tends to create some confusion. An example: As of late Iron
Lily (the one with the brown pony fall) has been labeled as Diamond
Ice (the blonde fan dancer). These are two totally different
characters, though I am the same woman playing them. Please help us
keep befuddlement down by placing the correct character's name with
the photograph. If you would be so kind as to pass the word along,
that to would be a great help.
