Spare change guy
Residents of Somerville may now get to experience the lolz that is spare change guy. This is a guy that is a staple downtown for his gravelly "do you have any spare change" mantra and his aggressive, in your face, form of panhandling. He was for a while living in Framingham (and getting arrested there) but he is a free man!

In the past two days, I've seen him in my 'hood. He is in Davis Square and riding the 88 bus. I heard some woman say "what are you doing here, you are usually downtown!" and he said "I'm just going home". Thats great, I have a local celebrity living in mah hood.

I did manage to get a pic of him last night in Davis Square. Its a very bad pic with a crappy cell phone camera taken at night, but what the hell.

	He will hold out his hand and yell "Do you have any SPAARRREEEE CHANGE???". He waves his arms and goes right up to people and blocks their path. He is a very aggressive panhandler that is now my neighbor! YIPPEEEE! (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	He got on the bus and asked the bus driver if he could get a free ride. The driver let him on. In the 15 or 20 minutes I seen him pandhanding in Davis Square, nobody gave him any money. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	Don't sell the guy short. He probably still comes in from Framingham and is just looking for some fertile territory. He was hanging around Davis during the summer. I don't think he was ever homeless. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	He definitely isn't homeless. I believe one of the articles online says he receives some sort of disability check each month that covers housing. Panhandling is more a hobby to do in his spare time....it keeps him busy. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	i saw the spare fifty cents guy in central today, which is wear i usually encountered him. i've never been able to give him fifty cents, because he always asks it five feet after i pass him, or five feet after he passes me. (Reply to this) (Parent)
