after reading this post on bostonist about the newly updated subway photography policy, i decided to print out the update to take with me on an amateur, non-commercial trip with my camera to the courthouse mbta station with a few others. though i was harassed by a boston police officer who was called in to apparently throw what he thought were intimidating questions towards me and the two people i was with, i politely answered his questions which were asked to prevent homeland security threats:
"what type of outfits are those?"
"thrift store clothes put together in the japanese street-fashion sense, officer."
"okay good enough thank you."
i'm glad that clashing, cheap clothes and a stuffed panda are certified safe!
