Boston T Party coming soon!
Newmindspace is coming to Boston to throw a party on the T :) The theme will be a mad tea party in the tradition of Alice in Wonderland! We will meet at the end of the line in costume, board the last car and blast beats from our portable soundsystem :)

If you are interested in receiving the invitation when this event happens, please join the Boston mailing list :)

don't worry, we only do them late at night and start at the end of the line. this way we don't intrude on anybody's ride who doesn't want to be subjected to our merrymaking.

i'll be there, but watch out, the mbta police have handed out flyers saying to watch out for anyone acting in a suspicious, orchestrated manner

fun = terrorism in this city

yeah, we ran into the homeland security nazis in san francisco and we are aware that we may catch heat from the police. we are willing to take the chance, though; it will be worth it if it works :)

that is just one more reason i love living in canada... i moved to toronto from new york in 2004 and i have never felt freer in my life.

I plan to move to Toronto as well in the next 3-5 years for a lot of the same reasons.

hope to see you there :)

god i hate the word flashmob.

subway parties have been happening since at least the 80's if not earlier, but the word "flashmob" was only invented in 2003

the word "mob" sounds so negative, doesn't it? like a mindless flock of sheep. we prefer to call large groups of people a "community"

Mind you, that was nothing against you, that was just the only other concept I thought was similar.

well ... people beat me to most of the fun replies I could have made ...

instead I guess I'll have to settle for saying - I hope you don't get stabbed and/or shot. We're a cranky bunch ...

i am sure the university crowd will make up for it, especially the MIT kids. w

we have done events in a number of cities and Boston does rank at the bottom of the enthusiasm ladder, but once our mailing list is made up purely of interested people, we may see a different side :)
