To be fair, it WAS a really, really fun game.

Look. The Colts happened to wake up in the second half, and said, "Oh, waitaminute -- this is supposed to be a football game! No wonder the tiddlywinks thing isn't working!" At that point, the Pats said, "Shit! The Colts have noticed that they're not playing tiddlywinks!" and it took them a little bit to recover from the shock of the Colts actually starting to, y'know, play the game.

They recovered, mostly, but, well, this game had equal parts really, really nice moves, and really, really boneheaded moves, equal parts ballet and klutz. And fairly evenly distributed between the teams.

How can you help but love a game where three linebackers score touchdowns?

Since maybe the mid-90s when it seemed that the Patriots were always going to beat the Colts, especially in important games, I thought to myself, "Will there ever be a day when the Colts actually beat the Patriots and have success in the playoffs?" Well, I guess we know the answer to that question now. Manning's now 5-10 against the Patriots.
