So, I'm on Twitter and there's been an invasion of the "mangatars," or manga-themed avatars. Of course, now that they're popular, some people are leading a revolt. XD I love how people will protest anything! (For the record, I actually put up a mangatar on my Twitter profile for kicks. I like it...)

Also, saw this today and it makes me wonder if learning stats via manga in college would have it any more enjoyable...Maybe, maybe not. *shrugs* Oh well, I might get it anyway to make brushing up on the topic in the future more interesting!

Lastly, I found out that Aurora Publishing won't be releasing the fourth and last volume of Walkin' Butterfly in September. In fact, it no longer has a definite release date. T__T This was one of my fav josei releases recently. And with things being the way they are at TOKYOPOP right now, who knows if my other fav, Suppli, will be released on schedule?

Ugh, I guess I'll just spend my time catching up on all the J-dramas I've been missing out on!

Basically I wanted to do something different from what everyone else was doing (or at least what I thought was different) so I just decided to post this topic in this way. Roughly, being a oneshot about Aang letting Katara go and what not but I added my own theories to it and placed it in the Finale setting.

As usual, I never seem to talk about anything I am actually doing. In fact, one of my most annoying habits is avoiding telling people my plans and/or whereabouts for no discernible reason. But I will belatedly say that this week I am not going to be around much online, as I not only have company (armistice_day), but also a lot of things to do! So many things. Argh. Oh no, I'm failing in my internet responsibilities!

Obviously, I am being facetious, but I'll catch up on commenting and the like when I return. And I have not forgotten about book club (I'm sure that sets a lot of minds at rest).

A typical conversation from this week:

Me: Why--do I do--such stupid--things?
armistice_day: Why are you hitting yourself with a Pokédex? I think that's a much better question.

Note: no Pokédexes or foxysquids were harmed in the writing of this post. I just like to make a mockery of myself.

So I've got about 2 weeks or so left before I have to go back to school. T_T And since the school seems to think that Honors level English is now the same as AP Lit and AP Lang, we got stuck with 2 books to read this summer instead of just one. Ummm...what? The past 3 years Honors has only had 1 book to have to read, and now you're bumping it up to the same amount, and not to mention, the same 2 books as the AP courses? Way to go school, you still continue to fail at understanding levels of difficulty in regards to classes. -_-; Honestly, Wuthering Heights has 34 freaking chapters and Kite Runner has 25. And of course since the schools think that the reading isn't enough torture, they always give us a packet with a bunch of stupid questions just to check and see if you actually read the damn book. Wuthering Heights has 14 and Kite Runner has 15. Joy joy. *rolls eyes*

However, I've decided to read Kite Runner and Sparknote Wuthering Heights, so at least I'm actually going to do half of the work the honest way, so nobody can start bitching at me saying that I took the easy way out when I technically only did that for one of the books. And the reasons why I'm doing it that way for Wuthering Heights are because a)the subject matter sounds incredibly lame, b)the text is small and crammed together, which is a pain for my eyes to have to read since I'm too stubborn to put on my glasses that I technically need to wear for close up stuff even though my left eye has almost perfect vision, c)do I need to say it again? 34 FREAKING CHAPTERS, and d)as soon as I told my friend the title of the book, she immediatly said to Sparknote it rather than read it. XD

Anyways, I've split up the reading for Kite Runner over 5 days time, so I only have to read 5 chapters per day. And then that gives me about 7 days to deal with Wuthering Heights if I end up changing my mind about that one. However, I highly doubt that I will.

Now I'm off to go eat something, and then either read chapters 4-5 in Kite Runner or go back to trying to find a Feebas in Pokémon Emerald.
