Using lj-cut is needed when posting a huge picture, a spoiler, or a fanfiction. Many people don't know how to use the wonderful lj-cut, so hopefully this will show you how:
When you are making a new entry, and are posting it to a community, you will most definitely need to use an lj-cut; especially when it comes to a spoiler, a picture, etc. First off, warn that there is a spoiler in the lj-cut. Below the warning and whatever else you say, you make an lj-cut:
< lj - cut text = " enter text here " >
Inside the cut is where your spoilers, questions, fan art, etc go under. Make sure to take out of the spaces in the code if you are copying and pasting. Also erase, "enter the text" and add your own text between the quotes. Finally, end your lj-cut with a:
< / lj - cut >
(again, take out the spaces in the code).
And there you go. There is how you use an lj-cut.
