Avatar Badfic Community

About:

This community is just barely getting started, but I'll get it up and running soon.

The Avatar Badfic Community is dedicated to sporking the badfics of Avatar: The Last Airbender. That includes Mary Sues/Marty Stus, illogical pairings, horrible concepts, improper grammar, just plain bad writing, etc. Believe me - there are plenty of them out there.

Here's a form to be filled out for every snark, placed before the LJ cut:

Our rating system follows as such, with pictures provided by

renuki. 4 is the worst possible rating; 1 is the least bad.

Also, here are a few quick ground rules:

1. This community is for sporking bad Avatar badfics and only Avatar badfics. No other fandoms are allowed. (Crossovers are fine, though.)
2. Do not flame authors of the badfics; constructive criticism, however, is fine. If you choose to ignore the "no flame" rule, at least have the decency to do so in a way which doesn't refer back to this community. Do not send the author links to the snarks on this community, no matter how strong the temptation.
3. Place snarks under an LJ cut.
4. Be reasonable when sporking badfics. Don't spork a fic just because you disagree with the pairing, for example.
5. Fics that are explicit sexually or otherwise are welcome, but be sure to leave a warning. Don't forget that there are some fairly young people in the fandom. Of course, I won't require a warning for strong language, mostly because I'm far too lazy to keep track of when I swear.
6. Remember to add a link to the fic.

Other than that, have fun, spork away, and be merciless.
