Be Beautiful Worries
When I ordered the latest Be Beautiful titles from Right Stuf in their CPM sale, they were all backordered. Ok, fine. i expected that. But for the first time, TRSI canceled my order! This was the note for each item:

" Cancelled by manufacturer or per your request"

I didn't request it. So CPM did. Great... The two titles they dropped from my order were Kizuna volume 9 and Virgin Soil. Not good signs. Kizuna is one of my favorite english titles. I hope it lives!

EDIT:

More bad news: Be Beautiful (CPM) is not appearing at Yaoi-Con for the first time. This, combined with the cancelled volumes of Kizuna and Virgin Soil, is a VERY bad sign. At this point I'm not optimistic. If Be Beautiful can't resolve it's issues with Libre, I hope at the very least that another company can pick up Kizuna (and maybe Embracing Love). Deux, Dramaqueen, or Boysenberry could definitely get their names out there with repackaged versions of these amazing titles... I'm getting ahead of myself, but this looks BAD...

Bad and sad news indeed when Kizuna left with 1 Volume to end (?) and I worries about Sound of My Voice too *sigh* I hope ether Deux or Boysenberry will get them... Dramaqueen, I love their work but well... mmmm.. they are too slow and they cant even fullfilled the promised licensed stuff even it was licensed at last yaoicon and not even the almost 2 years like Naked Jewel, Tyrant, Summit and not ... so I dont prefer them licensing anything untill they sort out their ver occuring printing problem... and I am the kind of fans that are not getting younger to wait...

I know! Kizuna can't die NOW! Gahh! Yeah... It'd be fantastic if Boysenberry or Deux picked up the books. Hopefully DQ will get itself together...

Hmm, I also have those titles on order at Right Stuf but they haven't cancelled mine. They are still on order with no noted change since I placed my order.

Really? WTF? I called TRSI and they said that it was probably due to publisher problems at CPM. It's strange they didn't whack you. You put Kizuna v.9 on order, right? Strange...

Yes, I placed my order during that sale. I received all my Be Beautiful titles so far. The only ones I have not received are Kizuna 9 Embracing Love 6 and Virgin Soil.

I've ordered every last volume of Kizuna and Embracing love. My orders were filled, save the ninth volume of Kizuna and the Sixth Volume of Embracing love. I contacted TRSI about Kizuna Volume 9 and they said central park media asked them to pull the title, even though it's still on order for me. I've tried going to the CentralPark Media website, but it's down for some reason. Usually I wouldn't worry, but i pre-ordered mine since April of this YEAR.

What is going on? Does anyone know exactly what happened here??

Actually, according to CPM's NYAF panel, they're still quite afloat. Yes!!! However, it looks like Libre REALLY doesn't like them and has told them to cease publishing their titles, despite BeBeautiful's perfectly valid license. The rep suspects that they want the license to expire so they can sell it to another publisher. Slick. And VERY frustrating. Just ONE more volume of Kizuna please! C'mon Libre!

Okay, they need to chill the *various swear words* out! If they've been publishing this stuff this long without a problem, how in the world do they JUST come to realize all this?! Let the last volume come out from crying out loud!! Selling it at this point makes no sense, and in the end, they're going to make a bunch of us completely pissed because of the delays.

::silently dying inside:: And the sad thing is, all anyone wants is a resolution to the relationship between Kai and Masa. Not to mention seeing Iwaki and Katou take that next step...<---sucker for romance. T_T
