Having supported such international heavyweights as Nevermore (USA), Skinless (USA), Nightwish (Finland) and Saxon (UK), LORD have
finally found time to record their killer new album "Set In Stone".
Already halfway through a massive Australian tour, LORD are teaming up with Switchblade (NSW) to bring a massive once only event to
Newcastle on June 6th.
With Switchblade also on tour for their new album "Invictus Infinitum", this is a one off chance to see two of Australias best metal bands in
one place, for one night only!
Supported by two of Newcastles best in The Crowning Swarm (ex-Inane Eminence) and The Exiled you need to be sure not to miss this opportunity!
( Flyer Inside )
A professional, passionate, and committed vocalist is sought to complete the line-up of a Melbourne-based (eastern suburbs) original metal/rock band.
Preferred influences:
• SEVENDUST
• DEFTONES
• LIVING COLOUR
• MIKE PATTON
We are looking for someone who can actually sing (as well as scream), who is keen to contribute to our songwriting process, and who can write strong vocal melodies - as well as write great lyrics.
We need a vocalist who loves performing, can front the band, and own the stage!
If this sounds like you, please contact us on the number/s below.

Dave Browne has passed away; Dave is best known for his drumming with 80s melodic thrash band Taramis, and thrashers Nothing Sacred.
I am unaware of the circumstances surrounding Dave's passing - but regardless, metal people who wish to pay their respects, might like to write a few gentle words over at the Taramis MySpace page, &/or Nothing Sacred MySpace page. I'm sure the guys would appreciate it, as they've all lost a friend.
x-posted & .
(I didn't know Dave, those bands are before my time for going to gigs -- but to have been a part of both those bands, he must have been quite a fine metal drummer - and he would be a familiar figure to the throngs who flocked to Bell St Rock.)
Addendum I: Simon Lukic at Musically Incorrect (RRR) will specially feature Taramis in honour of Dave, for the show on the 19th. The show will be web-streamed on the RRR page, should those outside Melbourne metro wish to tune in.
Addendum II: Brian Fisher-Giffen will also be featuring some Taramis in honour of Dave; www.blufm.org.au @ 10pm AEST 09.01.09.
Blurb as follows:"DESTRUKTOR
GUILD OF DESTRUCTION
SANGUINARY MISANTHROPIA
Destruktor's first live conquest featuring the new lineup performing classic material as well as previewing tracks off the upcoming full-length 'Nailed'.
Unfortunately Ignivomous have had to pull out due to recording commitments. The mighty Guild of Destruction have stepped up to the plate to take their place.
Overbearing Intolerance have also had to back out of the show, so apologies to those who were looking forward to their debut. Black Metal warriors Sanguinary Misanthropia will now be firing the first salvos.
$10 entry
Merch will be available.
Potentially more bands to be announced!"
