I've done a search and have seen a couple of recommendations from past commenters for therapists who work on a sliding scale. The posts were a few months ago, though, and I'd like to know if, since then, any more of you have worked with any therapists who offer their services on a sliding scale. Additionally, do any of you have experience with Lutheran Social Services? I believe they work on a sliding scale, but I'd like to know if this is really the case and if any of you have any experience with any of their staff. North or Central is preferred, but any part of town is okay. Thanks so much!
Just want to say thank you to everyone who responded to my question about the local farmer's markets! you're all very very helpful!
Also, I'll be in Austin this weekend (thurs-sun) house hunting. Anyone have any recommondations on where we should look? We want to be fairly close to downtown. Our goal is to find a place in Travis Heights. oh, and again, we're aiming for end of may/beginning of june.
And if anyone knows of anything exciting happening on Saturday, we'll probably try and paint the town.
Thanks!

Who is the best? Who is the least expensive?
The girlfriend and myself are looking for ~10 sessions with a personal trainer (together or separate. separate preferred) but we don't have a lot of expendable income.
Any and all advice (within reason) is appreciated!

What's a good place to get a simple haircut/trim and eyebrow wax around the 38th & Guadalupe-ish area? thanks.
Can anyone recommend a travel agent they've used before / often?
I used to use Make Your Bet, but they were bought out - and I wasn't too happy with the new company (TraMex). I'll prob use them if I don't get good suggestions.
Note: I want someone who doesn't charge a fee - should be paid by the commission they make off of the hotel.
Also - payment plans are a plus. (Example: Total due 45 days before trip.)
Thanks!

Please pardon the question if it's been asked 100 times already, but does anyone know when SXSW wristbands go on sale?
I've been writing a paper on Indian cuisine (most specifically, that of North Indian Punjabi Banquets, if you're curious) and all the talk of samosas and tandoori chicken has me all but dizzy with curry cravings. Honestly, I don't have much experience with Indian food, hence the research, but a couple years ago a friend started taking me to the Clay Pit. I love everything I've had there, but I've heard that it's not really the best place around. She got me hooked, has stopped answering her cell phone, and now I need another fix!
Recommendations for good Indian restaurants? I live north of Austin but find myself down near campus a couple times a week, so I'm game for any establishment this side of the river. Kudos for anything more affordable & casual than Clay Pit.
I absolutely love Mattar Panir and good Naan bread. Palak Panir will do in a pinch, though....

My MIL swears there is one in Austin and I looked on their website but nothing came up. Please tell me she is crazy b/c I can't find it.
