I'm looking for a store that sells modern furniture, but not Ikea. (I don't want to look like an Ikea showroom, I've got a bunch of there stuff already.) So, what's the next step up from Ikea? Or any furniture store for that matter? TIA!
I know we get a million questions on here about tattoos, but if this one has come by I've completely missed it, so I'm sorry!
I am looking for someone in Austin (or even within a couple hours if I have to) who does hand pricked tattoos. I need a very tiny, very detailed tattoo done and am willing to pay the extra money to have it done by hand.
At the very least, I am looking for recommendations for an artist who does finger tattoos (I know a lot of shops won't do them) and who is excellent with tiny detail.
(The only one I found via google was Crtnz at A Million Tattoos, and it was just line letters, so I couldn't judge his detail work.)
Thank you in advance!

I know, I know, this probably comes up every year. LJseek just looked at me funny when I asked, so - anyone have volunteer experiences they'd like to discuss? Advice? Cautionary tales? Anything?
(Also, if you had a cashier job, how much did it pay and how was it?)

so my bff is moving out of austin for 6 months and I am making him a little going away package. I wanted to get him one of those cheesy fishing games with the little plastic fish that open and close their mouths and you have to get the magnet in there mouth to "catch" them. where in town can I find this?!
also any good ideas for SMALL inexpensive things that are very texas/austin he has some major TX pride

If I wanted to find Cadbury Cream Eggs around town (and even a little out, but Northwest Austin is preferable), where could I find them? Or do I have to wait until after Valentine's Day? :[
So where do you go to get your bike fixed up? Assuming you can't do it yourself.
I've had some assholery from Clowndog in the past. I'd like to not be treated like an idiot - I'm interested in learning more about my bike, but the one I just got requires some maintenance that I'm not knowledgeable about and I'd like to ride it asap. I'd like efficient, decent work for a non-outrageous price -- is it possible?
I'll go anywhere for what I'm looking for, but I'm located south-ish

Does anyone know how long an animal has at town lake before it is euthanized? I couldn't find anything about a specific time-frame online.
I’m writing an article about some of the seedier/sexier/ types of places where a Texan might go to find love, or at least a kinky good time.
For example, something like this Austin swinger’s club (http://www.aphroditesforum.com/) or this all-XXX movie drive-in theater in El Paso (http://www.cinematreasures.org/thea ter/10225).
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
