Does anybody work in a gas station or know someone who works in a gas station that would possibly allow a short film to be shot there?

It'd probably be a 2-4 hour shoot at most and we'd want to do it in the wee morning hours, say between 1 AM and dawn.

Any help at all would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Oh, and this is a zero budget production, but if wheels and/or palms need greasing I could see what could be done.

Fun, Austinie things going on tonight

So BF has his best friend and her GF coming in town tonight. On Valentines we took the suggestion that was posted here and went to the Hideout for improv and had a great time. Anyone have any suggestions for a cool, Austin type, fun thing to do after dinner tonight? Something other than going to a club, having drinks and dancing (*yawn*). Also, any dinner suggestions (local, Austin restaurants only pwease)? Love this board........

PS: I also took the suggestion to go see Eric at Russ and Co for a hair cut. Rockin' suggestion!

What vintage stores in town give the most money for vintage suits?
My Dad has three vintage suits, one dating from the late seventies, and the other two are from the eighties, one of which is an Armani.

Also, are there any other stores in town besides Buffalo Exchange that would take some recent styles? I have some designer jeans, but most of what I have are Old Navy and Gap brand clothes, and quite a bit of it is cordoroy or peasant style. I also have a Betsy Johnson dress.

Seriously, what the hell is going on at Buffalo Exchange? Their uber hip buyers seem to have hit rock bottom. Riffling through the racks yesterday revealed little but crappy lingerie tops, rhinestone flip flops and a koala sweater. Read more... )

"Batman Begins" is the movie we're playing on Sunday at Opal Divine's Freehouse at 700 W.6th Street. At 7:00 pm I start the pre-show with some fun Batman other stuff (you're just going to have to come in to find out what) and then at 8:00 the actual movie starts. Please come out and bring your friends.

Where is an inexpensive but still decent quality haircut places for women?

Chains or otherwise.

How much would it cost for a simple haircut and any student discounts?

My boyfriend, myself and our two cats are looking to move up to the Wells Branch area. We are relatively poor (rent needs to be under $700) but would like a washer/dryer connection, decent space (700 square feet or more) AND a nice community to live in (decent maintenance and office people, and a safe environment with nice neighbors - or at least thick walls and neighbors who don't do their drunken cavorting in the parking lot)

The first part is just the parameters, the second is the one I want the outside opinion on...
