I am a 21 year old female that lives off of riverside and grove blvd (right across the street from acc riverside).

the living situation is a 2 story condo that my parents own. gated community with sufficient parking for guests(which is a huge plus in austin). pool and club house. its brand new, the other half of the complex is actually being completed right now. there is one bathroom downstairs with kitchen/dining room, living room, entry, and back patio. upstairs is two bedrooms with two baths. the room for rent has two decent size closets, and two windows facing the front.

i am looking for a 19-24 year old roomate, female, 420 friendly, laid back and clean. i have a cat that is the sweetest thing ever so if you have allergies or just issues with cats then this place is not for you.

if you are intrested contact me.

thanks

  • Feb. 10th, 2006 at 10:35 AM
so does anyone have any idea as to where to take a bat to get looked at? would a vet check one out?

i have a friend who somehow acquired a bat yesterday in san antonio and she's coming up this weekend and was wondering if she might be able to get it checked out to make sure its healthy and everything.

i didn't even know people kept bats as pets.

but does anyone have any insight on this at all?

anything is helpful, thanks.

Now for the guys hair

  • Feb. 10th, 2006 at 1:25 PM
Yesterday there was a post regarding a new haircut and color for a gal. Well sometimes guys need a makeover too. I've gone through 2 hairstylists in the last 60 days and now I need a new one which tells me it may be time for a different personal style. Any recommendations on a stylist that does men's hair well? Someone with imagination, someone who's got some longetvity, someone who won't require a bank loan to pay?

Okay Austin

I think I have the a question that has never been asked here. I am serious about this inquiry so I'm not joking around here. Does anyone know of Couple Only Sex Clubs here in Austin. I'm interested in going to one with my lover. But I'm not sure where to look. Any help would be appreciated.

Car Detailers?

  • Feb. 10th, 2006 at 5:23 PM
I used the LJ Seek tool and didn't find what i was looking for, so...

Anyone know of a place that will completely detail my car, outside and inside? I'd prefer not to bring it to Genie or any other place that will just run it through a machine and then wipe it dry. I'd want my car to look like new when i'm done.

Any recommendations?

Organic Costs

  • Feb. 10th, 2006 at 5:24 PM
Hey Austin.

I'm thinking about only buying organic foods from now on, and was wondering what I'm looking at as far as my increase in grocery spending.

What are the price differences between Whole Foods and Central Market compared to my chemical induced foods elsewhere for the same amount of food?

Thanks a brazillian!

Public Service Announcement

If you get into an accident, call 311. Do not even think about letting the other guy off the hook by just taking down his name, number and insurance information. Get the police there and have them give you all the official forms so you can follow the proper procedures.

Why do I mention this? Because I got into my first accident in ten years (not my fault) and the guy completely tried to pull one over on me. Luckily, cell phones and father figures that are reachable via them are great things in my life and I called 311, instead. (After I asked some wonderful gentleman who happened to be nearby what the nonemergency number for the police was because I didn't know).

By pull one over on me, I mean that he was completely at fault, the cop told me that he was going to write a citation on him and (oh! the good stuff) the guy ended up being carted away in handcuffs because he had open warrants out on his happy self.

So, again, if you get into an accident -- 311 is your friend.

ski stuff

Hello Austin. I am preparing to go on a ski trip and need to buy a few ski related items (glove liners, goggles, a bag to hold my skis for the airplane...). Any recommendations on a local place to get these things would be greatly appreciated.

Where in Austin can I find a storage box (or something similar) for about 60 vinyl records? This is my personal mini-collection, and I am just looking for basic storage -- nothing portable or DJ-quality is needed. I simply need a mechanism to keep them all in one place for easy access.

Coin Appraiser

Howdy,

Several years ago, I helped some Japanese businessmen find their way around Dallas. They were extremely grateful and handed me what appeared to be very old Japanese coins. Well, I put them in a box with my other Japanese stuff and lost track of it until very recently.

Now that I found them again, I've done a little research. A visual match on an ancient coin website says they appear to be Japanese copies of a chinese coin from approximately 300-400 AD. However, the copies themselves are circa 1080.

You can imagine I am very interested in finding out just how much value I may be looking at here. Does anyone know where I can find a coin appraiser in Austin that may be able to verify what I have here? Undergrad has been expensive enough, and Yale looks to be moreso, so I'd really like to sell these.

No, I have no idea why the businessmen in question would hand me valuable millinea old coins, but it wouldn't be the first time they've done something insane in the name of politeness. I could tell you stories...

Oh those crazy Japanese. God bless them.
