Where can a girl get her hair highlighted without worrying how she'll make rent?
The apt is a tiny 1bdr/1bath 700 sq ft. I'm looking to pay around $75 it would be this Saturday 2PM or later. Interested? Reply here.
Beg, borrow, or buy a copy of today's Austin-American Statesman (or click here). Flip open to the Life & Arts section (D-1). See that big, full-color photo taking up half the top? That's my brother! (Well, the one on the right).
He's up for the "Someone to Watch" award in this year's Independent Spirit Awards, for his movie, Dear Pillow, which has been garnering acclaim at film festivals both nationally and abroad, and which was shot here in Austin. The Independent Spirit Awards will air the day before the Oscars, this Saturday, on Bravo. But the Austin Film Society is also hosting a live broadcast this Saturday afternoon at:
4th & Guadalupe
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
It's free and open to the public, so c'mon by and help me root for a fellow Austinite!
I'll go with you to Best Buy, and apply my store credit to your purchase. You can then give me cash for 15% less.
I'd like to use the whole thing at once, but I'm willing to do transactions for any amount over $200.
Its just an idea, if you have a better one, please speak up. Seemed safer for the buyer than just outright selling the card.
hello there Austin...
Sorry if this has been asked before, but it's something we were just thinking of again...
My husband and I were curious if any one knows of a place that will buy back VHS tapes. We have tried Hasting's and no luck. We have at least over 100 that his brother left behind when he moved, and they are of no use to us, since we only have DVD players. Any advice or anything would be greatly appreciated. If there is no such luck, we might be interested in just selling them as is to someone. Please let us know!
Thanks!!!

My friend's dog escaped from their back yard today.
He is a White Alaskan Eskimo dog, about 30lbs. His name is Homer.
He escaped from the William Cannon/Brodie area, near Covington middle school. He was not wearing tags and does not have a microchip.
If anyone sees this dog please comment.
Thanks.

This show is going to rock your world.

Presented with the support of Salvage Vanguard Theater.
No Shame Theatre is an open performance forum where anything can happen, and usually does. This anything includes theater, dance, comedy, or music (or hybrids thereof). Pieces must be original, keep your technical demands small and your piece under five minutes in length. That's all it takes to participate. And remember, No Shame isn't just for participants. We
want audience, too, so tell your friends!
