so i have a birthday coming up and want to go somewhere with good sushi and green tea. because that's all i want for my birthday. help please??? also, if you want to come, you're more than welcome. AND i will write a review.

also. any after dinner ideas for fun places to go for a 21 year old and her underage boyfriend that won't break the bank??? (something inside would be nice since the weather can't decide to be warm or cold - just in case.)

thanks as always for your help. i really appreciate it.

Car window repair ?

  • Jan. 10th, 2005 at 8:11 AM
I need to find a place to repair my driver's side car window. It's completely shattered.

Does anyone have a good suggestion? Or a warning?

I'd prefer a place near 183 and I-35.

Thanks in advance!

good morning

  • Jan. 10th, 2005 at 9:18 AM
My apartment complex has had a faulty gate for sometime. Some days it's stuck open or stuck closed.

This morning it was stuck half way open and I thought I could make it through....

Question:
Does anyone have an honest and reasonable body & paint shop that they can recommend?

I know my insurance won't cover it. It's bad -but not that bad... and I'm trying to figure out what to do or what steps I can take.

Thanks

washer/dryer rental

  • Jan. 10th, 2005 at 9:26 AM
so, where are the places in town that you can rent washers and dryers from? i know about azuma leasing, but i don't know their prices, or if there are other, cheaper options.

i'm curious as to the price for renting full size w/d and stackable w/d.

thanks alot!

Whatcha doin’ on Saturday?

Revolution Motors is sponsoring a fundraiser this Saturday. There will be music, and all the money made on Saturday will be donated to AmeriCares. The mechanics are working for free! Hard to believe, but true.

Check it out: http://www.revolutionmotors.com/essence.html and then come on by.

looking for an apartment?

  • Jan. 10th, 2005 at 11:57 AM
mission hills (2900 sunridge, 444-3000) is doing a special now on their one bedrooms for $300 on a six month lease. it's not my ideal apartment (big, corporate type complex, etc.) but for that money, i couldn't pass it up. they are discounting so heavily because some of the buildings have shifted, and though they are structurally sound, they have cracks (which they will repair) and the building will need repair.

they don't have many of these units left at this price, but if you are looking to move on or before february 14th (that's the latest they will hold the apartments), it could be a great deal for you.

also, $100 deposit, no application fee.

Where are the recycling centers in town? I have a ton of magazines and there are no recycling bins at my apartment complex so far as I can tell. I don't want to just throw them away, but I have no idea where to take them.

Thanks!

exterior house painting

  • Jan. 10th, 2005 at 2:44 PM
Does anyone have advice to give on exterior house painters? In particular, painters who specialize in older houses and either paint over or strip to bare wood without charging outrageous amounts. Last time I called a few from the phone book, and none of the ones I talked to would deal with older houses with possible lead, etc.

Does anyone know of the fate of Common Interest? I heard this morning that it suffered damage from a fire, but they didn't say if they were going to be closed for remodeling or what have you. I was going to have a birthday celebration there in early February but now I'm worried that it's not going to happen.

I want some piercing done and want Bear to do it. I haven't seen him since he worked at Forbidden Fruit. Where is he now?

Thanks in advance.
Our cat escaped from our apartment last night, and since he's an indoor only cat, we're afraid he's lost. He's a slim, solid black shorthair with no special markings - just a plain old black cat. If he still has his collar on, it will be blue with three tags on it - you can usually here them clanging when he walks. We live in the Cherrywood District (East of 35 @ 38 1/2 - by the Fiesta), so if you're around that area we'd appreciate it if you kept an eye out! Thanks!

Congrats to mel for winning the regional contest!

rvsp for free entry.

show will sell out.

Free and very cheap bass guitars

  • Jan. 10th, 2005 at 11:35 PM

I have a junior bass that doesn't work in case anyone wants it. I also have a regular size bass that needs a screw and nut but works fine. Also the end of the neck has a split in it but it's cheap! ($30).
