Hello everyone.

I need grass.

St. Augustine grass to be exact. My yard needs some help so I'm looking for some place to buy it. Anyone know of a place that sells grass/turf/etc?

Thanks!

Central Austin development update:

Hey, everyone:

I did find just a little bit more about the Triangle project. The Weitzman group is currently the lessors of the Triangle project, and they're not what an urban husbander would call a forward thinking group. Most of their Austin holdings include strip malls like Capital Plaza, Northcross Mall, a bunch of south Austin strip malls off of William Cannon, and the new "Shops at Mira Vista" - (apparently they think that Freebird's will sell well in Westlake).

Anyway, their website currently lists 1,500 to 20,000 square feet of available plots, a new development with "retailers, restaurants, office, residental, and Randall's". So, the Randall's part is definitely confirmed. The quoted property price is $32, but I don't know if that's per square foot, or something else. In any event, it's the highest by almost $10 of any of the other properties. Shouldn't come as a surprise.

Anyway, just thought I'd tell you that the Triangle will definitely have a Randall's.

xo,
matt

I need to find a Notary Public in Austin. I just have one thing that I need to have notarized and I would really like to do it ASAP.

If anybody knows where I should go, when and how much I should expect to pay that would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance.

What is a good Indian restaurant and where is it? One of my best friends from Houston is from Trinidad and I lived just down the street. Her mom made the best food ever and I want more of that.
Also, if you're Indian or from Trinidad and your mom wants to cook for me, I'm down with that too! :)
I really want to learn how to cook Trini or Indian food.

Where's a good place to shop for Indian and Vietnamese food.
I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat a whole lot of meat. I want to start making more vegetarian dishes. What are your favorites.

My girlfriend and I want to move in May/June. What are some good, cheap apartment complexes that offer gas stoves. I need a gas stove if I'm going to cook more than I do now. You have no idea how many dinners I have burned (from just the edges to black).
We want to live in the South/Central are and are willing to pay anywhere from $400-$550/month. Washers and dryers provided are also a plus. Away from campus.
Does anyone live in an Equity Apartment complex? What do you think of it?

(4)
What are the drink specials what nights at what bars? Not on 6th street is A-OK with me!

Thanks.

Sasona Co-op

  • Feb. 23rd, 2004 at 9:27 PM
hi :) I wanted to let you guys know about a co-op in South Austin that has rooms available if anyone's looking for a place to live. It's a vegetarian non-student (students welcome, of course) 14 bedroom house in the Zilker neighborhood. There are a few rooms open ranging from $375-610 per month with all bills paid and food.

a little more info )

by the way, Sasona is dangerously close to Taco XPress which may lead to taco addiction or chimichurri overdose, but is otherwise safe.

i really like the austin lj community because if you ask a question, youl get real responses.
like in the el paso community, people only respond with stupid banal shit.

Bikini Wax

  • Feb. 23rd, 2004 at 11:29 PM
My girlfriend is going on a cruise for spring break and is interested in getting a bikini wax before she goes. She was wondering if any of you guys (well, actually, girls) could tell her a) a good place to get it done and b) what it would cost.

Thanks for any suggestions.
